Shadows In The Fire

Shadows In The Fire

She noticed that the few other people in the library cast tenuous glances at them, as he leaned in closer over her shoulder. 'Anything?' he asked softly. 'I'm sorry we don't have more books on the subject. The only other one I could find was Anne Boleyn supposedly haunting her husband, but it seemed more like fiction than anything else.' Faye smiled, enjoying his closeness and the smell of his cologne. 'Thank you though, Eli. We knew it would be a longshot and now it seems like a fruitless endeavor. There's nothing here that can even remotely tell us how to defeat Magnus and Mary. I think we have a long and arduous journey ahead of us.'

A Twist In My Marriage Deal With The CEO

A Twist In My Marriage Deal With The CEO

Rami’s stories weren’t just dry recitations of facts; he breathed life into these figures, painting vivid pictures of their personalities and the times they lived in. We moved on, past portraits of Anne Boleyn, her famous necklace a dark smudge against her pale skin, and Lady Jane Grey, her eyes wide and almost pleading. "Anne," Rami said, his voice dropping to a near whisper, "was ambitious and charismatic. She changed the course of English history, but her story ended tragically." He paused, his gaze lingering on the portrait. "And Jane… a pawn in a game of power, a young girl caught in a storm she couldn't control."

The Last Full Moon

The Last Full Moon

"Then your statement can be highly regarded as false. Or better still, a hypothesis that has not been tested or proven. Now, can we go back to what I was saying about King Henry the eighth and Queen Elizabeth the first?" "Yes, you may proceed. All knowing and all mighty!" Uju prevented herself from laughing but she couldn't stop herself from considering Maria's statement funny."About Anne Boleyn," she continued. "Yes, it was under false accusations that Anne was brutally murdered. Even though I have not met her, I feel for the woman because she invokes the lifestyle of most women that was very common in the past and still common now." "What lifestyle?" Maria asked. "How we are being treated

His Tutor

Pushing that out of her brain Miranda asked, “So are they asking you to write about why his marriage broke down with Catherine of Aragon?” “Yeah pretty much.” “Okay so, what do you think?” “Well, Catherine hadn’t given him a male heir.” “Yes, that is the main part to it, but what about Anne Boleyn? Why wasn’t she just another mistress?” “She refused to shag him unless they got married?” A wry smile appeared on his lips. Just hearing him say the word shag had made Miranda feel hot. She stifled a laugh. “Try and put it a bit more eloquently than that, but yeah. She wouldn’t let him touch her until she was sure they were going to be married.”

Such a sweet story! Happy with how it ended, although the ending felt kind of rushed and sudden... any chance there will be a sequel of some kind or at least a few bonus chapters for an update? That would be awesome author!! Either way, great job 😊

the Duke finally growled, “what facts are you hiding?” I cleared my throat, the weight of everyone’s attention settling on me. “Perhaps Miss Boleyn,” I said, emphasizing her name, “could share exactly how she came to suspect Annalise’s… treachery?” Anne’s smug smile faltered for a split second before she recovered her composure. “It’s simple, really,” she purred, her voice dripping with fake innocence. “I saw them, Your Grace. Lady Annalise and Mr. Stone, alone on the balcony, sharing a… very intimate moment.”
