Novel & Cerita Best Friend's Date

It felt like the years fell away and a stranger emerged out of the past I once knew. “You didn’t want me to date Andre, you tried to convince me to let him go, you told me he was a player, a bad boy…” “And if I recall those were the reasons you wanted to date him. Especially because you were excited to have a new dick in your life. I am not like you Siobhan. I wasn’t trying to deceive you into leaving Andre so I could date him. I was looking out for you because you are my best friend and that’s what best friends do.”

"That's what makes it good." He asked for my number. I gave it to him. Derek asked me out a week later. We went to a small Italian restaurant in downtown LA—the same one, I later learned, where he'd taken his first real date after high school. He was nervous. I was nervous. We both pretended we weren't. "I used to be afraid of you," he admitted over wine. "Me?" "You were untouchable. The queen of Westbrook. I was just the funny sidekick." The guy who made jokes so no one would know im invisible.

she cut in, her tone teasing but deliberate, “I’ll go on a date with you tomorrow.” For a moment, I couldn’t speak. Didn’t trust my voice not to betray how much that meant to me. “You’re serious?” I finally managed. “Yes.” The word landed like sunlight after months of storm. “What time?” I asked quickly, sitting up straighter. “You’re the one asking me out,” she reminded me, as if she’s not the one asking me on a date. “You choose.” I ran a hand down my jaw, mind already racing through possibilities. Restaurants. Private rooftops. Somewhere quiet enough to talk. Somewhere beautiful enough to match her presence.

He will be only to be thinking about me. I got ready for the date, in fact, my best friend Rebecca helped me out. How sweet of her. She made me look perfect for my date. Little did she know that the one I was going to meet with was her boyfriend. She was so naive. I have never met someone so dump. She was so easy to fool, and that is what I will do with her, just fool around with her. When she comes to find out about my relationship with Austin, it will be already too late for her.

“You are going on a date with Alessandro Morano. You have to bring your A-game. Wear something that makes you feel confident. Something that will make him regret every moment he ever looked at another woman.” Amelia couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re ridiculous.” “I know. That's why the universe chose me to be your best friend because my right advice would always be seen as ridiculous.” They spent the next few minutes going over outfit ideas before Mia’s voice turned gentle. “Just… be careful, okay?” "I will,” Amelia promised. "Then after this whole date, you have to introduce me to him as your friend. He needs to know that you're not alone." "I will. Thank you."

"And then we're going shopping. And then we're going to pretend Vincent doesn't exist." "I can't just pretend he doesn't exist." "You can try." She shoved me into her car. "I'm your best friend. It's my job to make you forget your problems." I didn't argue. We went to a café downtown. Quiet. Cozy. The kind of place where nobody knew my name. Sloane ordered for both of us. Two lattes. Two pastries. She knew what I liked without asking. "Okay," she said. "Talk to me. How are you really doing?"

I held the room key in my sweaty palms, feeling both anxious and excited as I looked at the room number written on it. A smile tugged at my lips despite the butterflies fluttering wildly in my stomach, and each step I took felt heavier than the last. Clara, my best friend, had accidentally let it slip a few weeks ago about David’s plan too propose to me. I sat her down and made her spill all the details. “Room 108,” I whispered to myself with a nervous grin.

Specifically Jimmy's chat and I. "Please." I pout, but it's too late. Miranda has typed and sent a reply. "When and where?" That's not all. She added a wink face emoji to the text. Alright. Murder me now. My phone beeps faster than it ever has. "Great. You have a date tomorrow night at some restaurant. It sounds super fancy." I release the loudest groan ever, then bury my face in my palms. My best friend will be the death of me. Fucking hell. ******

I had been trying to reach her, but she wasn't returning the calls. I was worried for a moment but I knew how she was sometimes, so I decided to let it be. But this? My bestfriend was going on a date with Tyler's bestfriend? How had he meet her? Where had their first meeting taken place?

“We will. Just write it down that I said this man is your man.” I laughed even harder. “Well, we need to prepare for this date.” “You need to prepare for this date. I am here to ensure that my best friend has the time of her fucking life.” “Thank you,” “You're welcome. Do you know where he made a reservation yet?” “No,” I frowned. “Well, we have a theme to work with at least. All we need to do is your makeup, and hair. Lucky for you I'm a pro at that.” I giggled hard, picking up
