Doll Crimes

Doll Crimes

The flash of light and color that passed me by as I kicked over rocks and looked for frogs. “No kids, but he has some beautiful big dogs. One of them just had puppies. He said you can play with them if you want. If you’re not scared of dogs.” She paused. “Are you?” The dogs I’d met before. The mutt I fed half a doughnut to while I waited outside the post office one calm afternoon out on the high street. Black and scrawny with a dry, pink tongue. The white terrier behind the black gate at the end of the road, barking insanity at any car that went by. I knew its voice so well I was surprised when I finally saw how small it was. How filthy and sad and somehow pitiful. And those two German Sheph

Of Wolves and Magic

Of Wolves and Magic

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

The Luna Lives Again

The Luna Lives Again

I mumbled with a full mouth. "There's extra in there. Let's keep moving." We turned the corner into another street lined with low brick buildings. One had a dusty window and a sun-faded sign that read Dog-Eared Pages. "This place is a little gem," Robbie said. "If you ever want to read up on modern stuff written for wolves from the old packs—this is where to do it. They even have books on magic you won't find in human shops." That piqued my interest immediately, but—

The Two Kings and the Lost Elder

The Two Kings and the Lost Elder

Joey squeaked and then giggled as he wrapped his arms and legs around Tate. “Just as I was wondering if anyone- human or canine- had shown her any affection at all in her short, lonely life, she did something unique in my experience of dogs. She raised her forehead to mine and very deliberately nuzzled my nose. Then She stepped back, looked into my eyes, came forward, and did it again.” Tate read, reading from the book “Amazing Gracie, A Dog's Tale” to Joey as they sat under the tree in the backyard.

This also allows the Werewolf King to see what is happening to his people and take action to correct it. While this book is still in progress, and I am not aware of where she will take this. It would, in my opinion, benefit the werewolves to have a king and higherarchy with regulations set in place.

This is a great book!!! I love the storyline & the depth of the characters. I've read all Abigail's books but this could be read on its own. I really love seeing characters grow and mature, find their mates, help them thru trauma. I am excited to read this book everyday, its a highlight of my day!

Pregnant with the Mafia's twins

Pregnant with the Mafia's twins

For over an hour, they had sat in the sitting room as Sofia had pointed at all the dogs she hoped to own one day. There had been a Jack Russell, cocker spaniel, Chihuahua, Pomeranian, Dachshund, Saint Bernard, German Shepherd, in fact, the girl had pointed to every single breed of dog in the book and simply stated she wanted each one. She had a feeling the moment Sofia unleashed all her cuteness, Dmitry had no chance.

A Dogs Tale/A Wolfs Tale

A Dogs Tale/A Wolfs Tale

A Dog’s Tale I remember being born, that may seem a strange concept to humans but it isn’t really for Dogs. I remember being snuggled and warm then suddenly being pushed out into a very bright light. It wasn’t pleasant, and I was afraid but then a warm wet tongue began to clean me and a soft voice spoke welcoming me to this strange bright world and pushing me to a teat full of her delicious milk. Everything was blurry and muffled but I felt safe listening to the steady beat of my Mother’s heart through her soft flank. Those first few days were strange, I did very little except eat and sleep but I was aware of ‘something.’ I did not know what it was but I knew it was waiting for me.

Scarred Roses, Burning Vengeance

Scarred Roses, Burning Vengeance

DAMIAN BLACKWOOD Those three days were the longest I had ever endured. For the first time, I understood why he cherished his dogs so much. A dog is often dismissed as nothing more than an animal, most likely because they only bark, wag, and play. Maybe it was because I was not a big fan of the species, but I quickly realised that their barks, whines, yelps, and howls all meant something profound to them, and they were better feelers than I was.

Tangled Destinies

Tangled Destinies

She couldn't imagine how difficult it must be for Dominic to cope with the abandonment, the weight of responsibility for his children's well-being. Although a part of her didn't want to let his rudeness tide by so easily, she understood his actions better now. As they continued sorting, a colorful book cover caught Lila's eye. Grinning, she picked it out from the stack. "Hey, Aaron was looking for something like this, pirate dogs!" She held up the book, depicting a pack of swashbuckling dogs on a pirate ship. A wave of fondness washed over her at the memory of the little boy's enthusiastic search. Marcus chuckled.

Maybe driving will help clear our minds enough that we can function. Two Dogs, Madison's crazy pit bull, gets up and mopes behind me.
