It was the Beta. The door opened, lights were switched on and Beta appeared in front of me. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen. Dressed properly, he could be mistaken as an Alpha. His golden eyes were now transformed into a beautiful shade of ash-grey. They flickered at me with an undecipherable emotion. He confused me. “I am here to take you to the Alpha. I am giving you one last chance to save your life, rogue.” He spoke, again with cold indifference and I winced at the addressal.

“Oh that’s fantastic-” “I need a Luna. Cherish, my heart, my very soul, will you be my Luna Queen?” The wave of warm love that washed over me from the handsome man knelt before me was overwhelming. His eyes were half green and gold, crackling with desire as he looked into my eyes. His smile was soft even though everything else about him had hardened with battle. Like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon, he had started this war as a Beta, transforming into something else. He had the spirit and confidence to step up and be the Alpha this place needed.

“The next charge is the charge of the betrayal of the secret of the pack’s existence by Jayden Wells to his human lover. For witnesses, I will call on something that has been a fairy tale for a long time because of how rare they have to be used. I call on the Wolf Guard.” The wolves made noises as two more wolves came up to the rock. They were Betas and both disappeared before coming back to their human forms, clothed in red robes. They both joined Doctor King where he stood, all three of them.

Everyone is in shock except for Alpha Tamiyah, who is sitting with a satisfied smirk on her face. ~Jamorea~ I swear I don’t know how we got to this. I don’t know how this dissolved into a scene out of a horror movie. I didn’t even know that Beta could move so fast since this is the most I’ve seen him move since I’ve met him. His eyes are black, and his fangs are out. The arm holding that horrible Alpha is covered in gray fur, and I swear he looks like he’s seconds away from shifting. I realize the other Beta is looking to defend his Alpha, but I’m not sure he would get a chance.

Lina sighed in defeat, though she couldn't hide the smile on lips. A low scoff had my eyes pulled towards the owner. The brunette met my eyes while raising his brow on me. It was the first time I really took in his features, I wonder what his name is. I always saw them collectively together which I assume they must have been really close with each other. I squinted my eyes towards him, assessing him before my eyes bulged. He's a Beta. But how can he produce that much aura which could go in par with an Alpha?

“Let’s catch up more later, there’s a lovely lady I need to greet.” The other Beta glances at Iris, gaze curiously scanning over her dress. She picked a simple number. It has long sleeves and a lace collar that covers her chest well enough to hide her scars. It’s fitted but has just enough body that Iris doesn’t look completely starved. It’s a soft, shimmering champagne color. The Beta doesn’t seem to recognize her, as her face doesn’t turn hostile after the look. She nods to Iris and Eric and disappears into the crowd.

Shit… did i just get seen by one of my father’s allibies… I thought I had disguised myself properly in this head scarf I was tying matched with a casual blouse and jean. I forced a smile and bowed my head slightly in response. “I am Beta Taylor. Alpha Aleric assistant.” He introduced himself and I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Even though I'm all grown up now, I’m still not over the trauma my step mother has inflicted on me over the years as a lesson whenever I made a mistake, goodness knows what she would make out of the situation if she were to find out I had broken the rules this time as well— since she claims the moon goddess somehow speaks through her.

Glenn barked as the bald Beta Goran nodded. “Can I please put something more appropriate on?” I pleaded, which only made the two men pause and look me up and down like meat. My chest was exposed, every step I took flashed either of my thighs. I couldn’t see the Alpha dressed like a cheap tart. I winced realising that some of Dex’s rougher love bits and nips were still visible on my chest and thighs. I was going to look like a complete mess out there. “No. You’ll do just fine like that I think,” the old Beta replied, clearly staring at the faint purple bruise on my sternum. “Come along, or I’lll tie you up like a fucking hog.”

the same Alpha pressed. “She won’t,” I said. The room quieted slightly. “How can you be sure?” someone challenged. I didn’t hesitate. “Because I know her.” That wasn’t enough for them. I could see it. They wanted certainty. Not faith. The doors opened suddenly. A Beta rushed in, slightly out of breath. “I have something,” he said. All eyes turned. “What is it?” my father asked. “Footage,” the Beta replied, already moving to the central display.

And yet, why am I seeing Beta Greg in this form? “ You’ll promise to leave and be safe for me, princess. Let me fight this war for you,” he said, his fingers brushing over my lips. “ N-No….What the hell are you saying, Greg?! Why are you— Oh shit, why are you like this?!” I shouted, seeing him like someone… Seeing him like an alpha. The one who howls earlier wasn’t alpha Vladimir but it was him. Beta Greg shook his head and pushed me away. “ Listen to me, Victoria,” he murmurs. “ Listen to me,” he added, holding my arms and making me immobilize.
