I then wondered if he was even a wolf – if, perhaps, he’d just been out for a walk and accidentally tackled a strange looking, crawling girl – when he let his head drop back and he let out a loud laugh. Unthinkingly, I brought my hand to his mouth and slammed it over his lips. “They might hear you,” I hissed, my eyes darting into the forest behind us. “Arienne, let me introduce myself properly,” he said, peeling my hand away from his face. He continued to keep his arm around me, though, which was reassuring – I felt as though without it I might topple over at any second. “There is no need for you to bow. I am the Young Beta of the Lapis Moon pack. And – oh, boy – am I glad to have found you.

I grinned. She rolled her eyes. "So, what brings you to my room? Or do you miss me so much you couldn’t wait to see me?" She smiled. I laughed. "Sorry to disappoint, but I came for your help—since you’re a makeup artist and all." She squealed and rolled her eyes. She’s weird. "So, why the makeover?" she asked, walking to her closet and pulling out her makeup kit. "Mom, don’t you remember? I’m going to school today. In disguise."

I shook his hand before my eyes moved over to the prick alpha that was shooting daggers at me. “When can we see her?” he asked the king, his eyes never leaving mine. “Beta Axel will be more than happy to take you to her. We will inform the clinic to extend the guest list to include your names from now on.” I bowed my head and stepped forward to shake hands with the prince and king when the king mind linked me. “I’m trusting you, Beta Axel. Some are pretty panty dropping, if I’m being honest. An array of sundresses lined the one rack, and I slowly grazed the tips of my fingers over them, as I looked at all the beautiful patterns, wondering who he had put in charge to pick them, or if he had picked them all out himself. Finally, the tips of my fingers stopped on a white sundress with a light baby blue floral print, and when I pulled the dress off the rack, I quickly realized that this was the dress I had been looking for. As I went to pull the dress over my head, the door to my room opened just as the dress slid down my body, as the Beta stood within the doorway staring at me, still with the look of desire in his eyes from earlier.
