Shizi, seorang pemuda yang selalu mendapatkan perundungan, penyiksaan dan perlakuan tidak menyenangkan dari klan nya, terutama dari keluarga inti Klan Song yang merupakan klan besar dan termasyur di kerajaan Awan. Status Shizi yang tidak memiliki ayah dan ibunya yang berasal dari kasta terendah dalam klan membuat dirinya mendapatkan perlakuan seperti itu terutama dari Song Ong, sang tuan muda klan Song. Hal itu didasari oleh iri dengki Song Ong atas kecerdasan Shizi juga kedekatannya dengan seorang gadis cantik yang berasal dari klan Wang, Wang Suyi. Puncaknya, Shizi difitnah dan  dirinya akan dibunuh oleh Song Ong sehingga membuatnya harus  melarikan diri dari klan untuk menyelamatkan hidupnya. Dari sana Shizi berusaha bangkit untuk memulai hidup baru untuk menaikan status dirinya, mencari tahu kebenaran tentang ayahnya, menyelamatkan ibunya yang masih berada di klan Song,  dan tentunya untuk membalaskan dendam pada Song Ong dan klannya. Akankah Shizi berhasil mencapai tujuannya ditengah banyaknya masalah yang menghampirinya?

No matter how hard I tried, I could not recall ever opening the door for Chloe. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself back on the day Chloe disappeared.

I run into a group of rogues on my way home for my daughter's birthday. I call my wife for help, but she blocks my number. Just now, Ms. Jones pushed me forward. If I hadn’t shifted direction, that huge rock would’ve crushed me!” Derrick, furious, shouted at me. “Gwen! You’re a doctor! What about your ethics? Your humanity?” Tears streamed down my face as I shook my head. “I didn’t. Please, just save me. I really can’t move…” One of the medical team members who came down with him checked my condition and looked worried. “Director Nelson, the steel rod seems to have pierced her spine. If we don’t treat her now, there’s a risk of paraplegia!” However, Derrick yanked him aside. “Save her? Let her walk herself! Gwen, we’re saving lives right now. If you want to act, I’ll put on a show with you when we get home! “Serena’s injured. Since there’s only one stretcher, we’re taking her up. You can walk up on your own.” His cold, departing back left me in utter despair.

I want to return to the time when I never said yes to Samuel Gardner’s proposal.”

At that moment a slow song came on and Aurora got close to him. "What are you doing?" he asked and backed away. "Just go along with it." she took his hands and placed them on her hips. Aurora put her arms around his shoulders and they swayed to the music. Her head rested on him and he simply followed her lead and they stayed like that for a while. Aurora didn't realize how exhausted she had been until she did that. For the past few days, so many things had happened and all this time she was pushing herself to keep going. She was especially tired after having to straighten her hair for hours. "Aurora," Caden called her gently. "Something needs to happen. I just saw another one of them enter." "Hmm," she murmured. Her arms felt weighed down on his shoulders. She felt like she was being swaddled. "Don't tell me you're getting tired?" he asked. Aurora chuckled. "I would not be this tired if it weren't for you. You're so big and you smell good. Where did you get your cologne by the way? I want it." Aurora looked at him and he was already looking down at her.
