Been a minute since I last flipped through it, but the core of 'Big Trouble' is this ridiculous chain of events in Miami. It starts with this ad exec, Eliot Arnold, playing a stupid paintball-type game with his kid, and he accidentally shoots a guy. That guy turns out to be two hitmen disguised as cops trying to whack this software mogul, Arthur Herk. Meanwhile, you've got a nuclear weapon in a suitcase being passed around by idiots, a couple of high school kids trying to get booze, and a dog that eats everything.
It's all these separate, weird stories crashing into each other over one night. The plot isn't really about one person; it's about the chaos that erupts when all these self-absorbed characters—crooks, teenagers, parents, FBI agents—cross paths because of a dumb game, a missing suitcase, and a lot of bad decisions. The fun is in watching the dominoes fall in the most absurd ways possible. Reminds me of those Coen brothers movies where everything goes wrong in the best way.
