Before the sentence was finished, a burst of laughter erupted from the other end of the line. The sparkle in Emma's eyes died instantly and her broad smile slowly faded.

The voice pressed on gently, laced with subtle urgency. Not wanting to keep him waiting or for him to sense the panic and desperation in my voice, I managed to steady my breathing and answered him. I immediately apologized, "please forgive me sir, I am immensely sorry for the outburst and yes I am Miss Cindy Banks."

Billy pulled out his phone and dialed his assistant’s number. “Cakra,” he said as soon as the call connected. “Find someone for me.” “Who, Young Master?” “A woman,” Billy replied briefly. “Her name is Thabita Salton.” Cakra paused for a moment. “Description?” Billy smiled faintly, coldly. “Fat. Very easy to recognize. Track her wherever she goes.”

They did not know what Cecelia said on the other end of the line, but William’s voice was indescribably gentle. “It’s not done yet. You should go to sleep first. Don’t wait up for me.” Hearing those words, the other three simply could not believe their ears. Was this person their thousand-year iceberg of a Big Boss? His words were so gentle that the ice had melted, okay? If they did not hear it with their own two ears, they would never believe their big boss would ever speak with such warmth.
