* * * Max’s POV * * * Yesterday, I was shocked to have a biological family. I’ve wandered alone, always on the side-line watching the families of my pack bond. I’ve created my pack to be family orientated and have my mate. But something about having a parent and grandparent who share your blood makes you feel whole. Meeting Harrison and Arthur, my pops and grandpops, is already life-changing for me. I can share my visions with them, and I feel they will accept me. For the first time in my life, I have male family members who accept who I am.

I said. "I said a family is the people who show up," he said. "And that showing up is more important than sharing DNA, though sharing DNA can also be part of it, they are not mutually exclusive." He paused. "Marcus asked if that meant his dog was his family and I said technically yes if the dog consistently showed up, which I stand by." I looked at my son. At his face, completely composed, entirely certain of his own logic. "Marcus's teacher might have something to say about that," I said.

"They mattered with Sophia. You're her biological father. That made it easier to love her, to claim her as ours." "And you think this will be different because Becca carried her?" Same as Sophia became mine when I chose to be her father. Family is choice, not biology." "But what if I can't love her? What if I look at her and see Becca? We could give her another identity until she regains her memory but why did you choose this style" I ran my hand across my head frustrated. "What she needs most is family and we can be that family to her. I only said you are her brother but I never put 'Biological'" "Grandpa " I called out. "Grab the opportunity now that she trusts you and that's why the allergy has not shown. Show her that she has a Family if not, She would become a monster you won't recognize.

“Dwaddee, Dwaddee,” two young boys with strawberry blonde hair shouted happily as they ran towards me. Daddy? I don’t remember having a child. But seeing them makes me want to have one. Family. One word but it held so much meaning. It was something I have and don’t have at the same time. At a young age, I lost my original family only to find my biological father and my future Luna’s family which became mine as well. And for some twisted fate that the goddess had planned for me, I found my original family which was not easy to accept at first but then it became a wonderful extension of myself. That brings all the missing pieces of who I am back together.

Even voicing the words made Rafael feel uneasy. Of course, he had observed all Astrid's differences with her family members. Still, he also wanted to hear everything Astrid had to say. I look at him. "Your family," he says. "Your biological family. It can be done. Quietly, thoroughly. I know people who do this well." He says it the way he says things he's already considered — not as an impulsive offer but as something he's turned over and found solid. "If you want to know, you can know. That's within reach." The idea lands in me like something dropped in deep water — I feel it hit the surface, feel the ripple move outward, feel it sinking to depths I haven't yet measured.
