So, their characteristics are close to that of an aquatic salamander mixed with dragons, as his simplified explanation went. They’re cold-blooded and can’t stay long in cold environments. That’s why they chose hot regions on Earth—and one of them happened to be where I lived. I lost track of time as I held a tablet reading about the history of the Tarragon species. There were other families that were able to control dragons too. Magic or without it.” She pursed her lips as something came to her mind.

You need only whisper your command, and we will follow.” Evrah grabbed the wood harder, her gaze darting quickly from left to right, trying to get a closer look. She spotted a big shimmering black dragon that seemed to be looking right at her. The big eye blinked, its big frame fidgeting a bit. A huge black and silver mass of scales and muscles sat directly across from her, its ginormous purple eyes had her dead to rites, and they both knew it. “Please don't give me way,” she whispered, shaking from fear. She cursed that her curiosity had gotten her noticed. The dragon blinked a final time and averted its eyes somewhere else as if it had heard her whisp

She asks Loras while he still holds her in his arms, looking at the source of the light and taking small steps back. "You did it..." He answers. "What?" She asks again, confused. He points up at the sky and Astrid sees Dracos flying in circles above what looks like a head of a dragon forming from the light. The sun is almost down when the dragon fully emerges from the egg and the light dims down to nothing. Astrid watches in disbelief as two magnificent beasts fly above them. One playful and one cautions. "It's not a baby dragon?" She asks, looking around like this other dragon just happened to be around and the dragon that just hatched would be lost in the field's tall grass.

His gaze shifted to Grenn and Baldwin. As expected, Grenn placed his teacup down and looked at Baldwin with a frown. "Do you intend to start a war?" Though the dragonoids lacked half-immortal guardians, they were still formidable adversaries. Based on the current might of the devils and the Primordial Sacred Land, they could not afford to put themselves in such a precarious predicament. Furthermore, the capabilities of the dragonoids were something they did not know much about either. Baldwin shook his head and asserted calmly, "I will send ten royal paragons from the Primordial Sacred Land, and I shall lead the charge together with all of you!"

They immediately set to work rubbing down the dragon like a very strange carwash. We disembarked, still a bit wobbly from the journey. “They must be females,” said Maurice, pointing at the Mezziks washing the dragon. “No wings.” They did look a bit more feminine in their facial features, and they didn’t have wings or crests on their heads, although they had a similar blue tinge to the males. Looking around, I noticed there were some larger dragons that also didn’t have wings. Females? It did suggest there was some link between lizardmen and dragons, but I decided not to mention it to Hitokag who seemed touchy on the subject.

Two dragons slunk out of the shadows in front of me. One of the dragons was green scales with blue tips, and the second was blue scales with green tips. They walked in unison with each other, with such a graceful movement that it was hypnotic to watch them in action. “Oh Aria,” Jewels said. “Be careful with these two,” she warned. I saw a flicker in the eyes of the dragons.
