He’ll probably recover, werewolves are tough. Black’s Second is curled in a ball, whimpering. I’m standing in a tiny but growing puddle of my own blood. I have no idea what to do next.

His look is completed by black hair and an upside-down cross hung in his left ear. He guffawed as he swung his bat and walked on the shards of glass. He opens the zipper of his leather jacket, ignoring the yelps of the staff of the hotel. He pulls out a thick black book, with skull carvings on its cover. This is the Death Book, the list of humans who are destined to die. But he is not here to act as a grim reaper; he is here to act like a murderer. He flips the pages and hides them back in his jacket. A purple orb flew above him, leaving a trail of purple glitters. The orb sliced itself into two, making a Pacman with a purple color.

"Now you are mine. You will serve me. And in time… your son will return." Bianca's breath trembled. "Tell me your name." The shadow leaned back, its smile like knives, its ember-eyes gleaming brighter. "I am the one who owns the Black Book." It paused, savoring her trembling. Then, softly, like a dagger sliding between ribs: "And now, Bianca… I own you.".... ****** The moment Alessia's body went limp against him, Luca felt the world collapse beneath his feet. His heartbeat drummed like war thunder as he caught her, his chest burning with terror.

He was simply stating facts, and that made them hurt more. “I want to prove myself,” I said quietly. “I need to. For Adele. For the crown that was taken from me.” Tyson flicked ash from the cigarette. “Good. Because I need you to prove it too.” He looked at me directly. “Do you know about the Black Book?” I shook my head. “No.” He took one last drag and dropped the cigarette into the water. It hissed and disappeared. “It’s a book that holds the darkest secrets of the royal family. It will deliver the royal family straight to my hands.”

His complexion is smooth and coppery and he is without a single scar. I tense up as he approaches me. "So, you are my granddaughters' mate. To think a dragon slayer would be what she got stuck with," his brassy voice rings out. I pull back in surprise. How did he know I was a dragon slayer? "Tell me your name," Lochness demands lowly. "I'm Flavius, Flavius Black," I stumble out. I feel Ellie's hand grasp my own. I relax at her comforting touch.
