He heard his father resorted with frustration in his voice. “Dear, you shouldn’t be here. Go back to your room.” His mother hurriedly whispered when she noticed him listening to their conversation. “Wait, did you just say men in black?” Hyde resorted when he came back to his senses. His companion didn’t speak but answered him with a mere nod. “Oh, and one more thing, she also said that one of them has some kind of black bird tattoo on the neck.” Hyde was stunned when he heard about the tattoo. He’s certain, that the deceased man was one of them—or just a scapegoat.

The edges of my vision start to go black. "Winter!" Alec yells. Elena lifts one hand from my neck and sends a bolt of magic backwards. There's a brutal grunt from Alec as it hits him. Now, both Damon and Alec are down. I don't know if they're okay. I don't even know if Alec is alive. Elena's second hand is about to return to my throat, but I seize the opportunity. Grabbing her shirt's collar, I yank her down and to the side. This makes her fall off balance, leaving most of her body exposed to me.

"Do you want to tell me their name?" Alec and I exchange a look. I don't know why, but this woman is making tingles go up and down by back. From the way Alec is frowning, I can tell that he's on guard. A black cat jumps onto one of the velvet chairs. Arching its back, it studies me. I can't help but feel there's something abnormally intelligent about its eyes. I almost can't look straight at it. "Igor Rhodes," I tell the old woman.

He had to wonder now, didn’t he, with all those paintings lying at his feet. Were the rest of those people Blackwell’s victims like he’d been, or Ashley’s? Maybe Blackwell was a killer with a split personality. Killed one set of victims one way, the other for a different purpose entirely. His jaw tightened. He didn’t like the word “victim” applied to him. From what he knew of Blackwell and what he’d seen of Ashley so far, his money was on Blackwell doing all the killing and Ashley doing only the painting. He didn’t get a killer vibe from her. Yet she was involved, in up to her haunted green eyes.

I go the opposite way, painstakingly reading each and every title. “Callie!” Alice exclaims excitedly. “I think I found something.” I hurry over, seeing her pull a smaller black book off the shelf. There’s no title on this book, only a gold Baphomet overlaid on the leather. “The Book of the Beast,” I whisper, eyes lighting up. “I think you did find something.” She cracks the spine and I lean over, heart racing. And then the library doors open and close with a boom, echoing throughout the entire room. Alice and I both jump, and she quickly shoves the book into her cloak.

I cut him off impatiently as we geared towards the front door. It abruptly opened and in front of us was an old butler. My eyes narrowed, he looked human. To make more caution, I threw a dose of wolfsbane powder at him. It had no effect, only making him cough instead with a frown on his face. “Can I help you gentlemen?” “He seems human.” Sebastian whispered from behind me. I scowled deeply, “We’re looking for someone. Asher Blackwood and Aurora Thompson to be precise.” I studied his face greatly for any sign of a facade, he remained stoic, eyes expressionless, “I don’t think I know who that is.”

The runes ignited, one by one, in violet fire. The air thickened. Wind howled. The soil trembled beneath their feet. And then—the altar cracked open. A blinding surge of light shot upward, tearing through the mist. The ground split, and a small obsidian chest rose from within, glowing faintly red. Inside lay a single black-bound book wrapped in silver chains—the Book of the Damned. Kael stepped forward slowly. “After all this time…” He reached toward it— —and the forest screamed. A flare of silver light cut through the trees as figures emerged from the mist—The Order. Dozens of cloaked hunters, blades drawn, crossbows gleaming with runes.

Not everyone is on your side. The trio rounded a corner and entered a dimly lit chamber that Evelyn had never seen before. The walls were lined with portraits of past headmasters, their eyes painted with uncanny realism, seeming to follow her as she moved. At the center of the room stood a pedestal, atop it a single book bound in black leather, etched with silver symbols that shimmered faintly in the candlelight. “That book…” Evelyn whispered, stepping closer, drawn to it despite herself. “It feels… alive.”

Alyssa exclaimed after seeing all the things on a particular page. "What Is it, Alyssa?" Asked Berk worried. "Don't worry Berk everything is going to be fine, let's go," replied Alyssa as she keeps the book on the floor. "Are we done?" Berk asked surprised. "Yes we are," Alyssa replied and they both left the room. As soon as they turned and left the room, the book closes back by itself, and the book cover reads; 'THE BOOK OF SHADOWS' and then the book disappears. . .

“Are you guys ready to finally do as we were formed to do?” My eyes glared at Callighan as he lifted his head up to the sky. Once that loud howl came from him, we all prepared ourselves as the wolves charged at us altogether. All we could do was fight to our hearts desire. One charged at me and right when I thought life was over for me, the gunshots came right after him. Pow! Pow! Pow! Pow! However, those shots were not enough… -To Be Continued- The End of Book 2
