Isobel hummed quietly to herself while she sketched the conifers trees with the mountain behind them. The scene was captivating with the bright green of the trees and the blue-black of the mountain range. The beauty of Colorado in the spring was another reason she knew that she could paint again. Leaning back on the camping chair, she glanced at the clear pale-blue sky. A shy smile on her face as she thought about Kyle and the soft kisses he’s given her. If she wasn’t so scared of how he would react when he saw the scars, she would be bolder with him. Try to see where deep, hard kisses would lead.

She was barely able to keep herself conscious, giving in to her need to rest, she fell back to sleep once more. Sky found a small clearing that led to a beautiful lake, surrounded by the natural meadow. It looks like she had stumbled on the place by chance as it was clearly cut off from the rest of the forest. The unnatural growth of so many floras seemed to act like a barrier which everyone avoided; Sky had somehow found this beautiful place. The flowers and fields were like scenery painted by a professional painter. The canopy of trees surrounding the area was surreal; it allowed small rays of sunlight to filter through a few pocket holes in the shades, making it more scenic.

She asked. "About two hours more." He replied. "Wow, that long? Are we going out of Springfield completely?" "No, but like I said we are going to the outskirt of town. Don't worry you will like the place if you are someone that likes a calm and natural atmosphere but if you are one to enjoy busy cities which I doubt cuz of the vibes you give off. Then you might get a little bored. "Oh, I like calm places." "I guessed right then, you are gonna like being in the Clovers, it's calm and covered in nature. The perfect place for healing." He said.

Chapter 290: The Dawn at Horizon’s Edge ​The storm that had lashed the Black Forest broke just before dawn, leaving the endless canopy of pines glittering under a thin, crystalline blanket of fresh frost. Below the limestone cliff, the black-budget transport sat motionless in the clearing, its turbines quiet, its interior lights dimmed to a soft amber glow.

This whole area outside the village is generally flat and grassy, not a single pebble to be found. “Damn,” I whisper to myself as I fold my light blue cloak tighter around my shoulders, my breath sending wisps of silver mist toward the overcast sky. It’s growing late in the day. I can’t be out here for long. Granger doesn’t care if I wander. He likely knows exactly where I am right now. He has a knack for that. So, I walk further into the forest until the scent of ash and death stop staining the air and suddenly find myself in a familiar clearing.

Lucas shook his head, this place was so funny. When he looked back towards the meadow, he found it was no longer there and his mind soon began to forget it ever was. In its place was an expanse of dark rocks and blackened trees. Here and there, swirling grey eddies crossed the ground, the dust spinning at such a rate, flecks of silver could be seen in the vortex. The sky overhead had also become muted, as though reflecting the landscape below, the orange fading, the gun-metal clouds seeping through like a cheap stage set, the horizon becoming a black streak.
