The notorious captain was infamous for his ruthless tactics, and the bloodlust that accompanied his crew was legendary. “We’re outnumbered!”

a voice drawled from the shadows. Timothy bolted upright, the movement sending a sickening pulse through his skull. Kan Nelblack leaned against the dresser, his dark hair messy, his silver-grey eyes tracking Timothy like a target. He’d ditched the top hat, looking less like a circus ringmaster and more like the butcher he was. The tiger chuffed, stretching its massive limbs with a grace that made Timothy’s stomach do a slow, nauseous roll. The memory hit him like a lead pipe to the gut. The alley. The bite. The betrayal.

"Strigoi, Nosferatu, Jiangshi…" Suddenly black smoke emits from the words, a figure emanating from the black smoke. "I'm finally free, free from the clutches of the chronicles. It's time to claim the world once and for all and create a New Dawn under my rule." The voice chuckled. "What's happening?" I shuddered, the sinister aura cloaking the smoke. "The King of the Vampire has arrived."

Xareth’s voice cracked through the room like lightning splitting a tree. In one swift motion, he seized her by the throat and lifted her clean off the ground. Her legs flailed mid-air, her fingers clawing desperately at his hand. “I warned you,” he growled, low and lethal. “If you dare meddle in my affairs again, or defy my rule, I’ll send you back to the Black Abyss.” The Black Abyss? Even through the pain clouding my thoughts, that phrase echoed in my mind. People say cruel things when they're angry, but that didn’t sound like a metaphor. That sounded like a place.

I nodded to him. They both stood straight. I looked at them and smiled, "I am glad that you both are standing here confidently prepared for the fight. Our first target will be the spirits among the Magical White Wolves. You both must know the location of the Black Cave where the Black Rose was." They both nodded. "We will go there. As for how the evil spirits are going to come there then leave that to me. So, are you both ready for the charge", I stared at them. They both nodded.

We have all lost and gained comrades in the never ending wars. I am the only girl on this ship and I am fiercely protected. No other girls are allowed but since I am Nate's sister the crew learned to tolerate it since Black Blood took me and Nate under his care. Nate has been so angry for so long since Black Blood died in his arms. Nate believes it was his fault that he died. His fault that our only father figure passed under his care. It was the first week of Nate's training to become captain of his own pirate ship. Black Blood was training him to gain his own ship and crew and never expecting to pass so early. He was murdered by something other than human.

I shouted into the glare, I had spotted up to five tiny ships coming towards us with immense speed. They all had black flags on them, designed with human skull as a warning. “Pirates, oh silly human pirates messing around.” “Oh how very great,” Tasha muttered to herself, she threw her orange peels into the water. “Just as I was about to get comfortable and have a good nap.”
