"Let's go, the sooner we are done with this, the faster we can go back home." Even from the distance, the size of the magnificent panther is breathtaking; dark gray fur, nicely short and gleaming, deep green and yellow eyes that resemble jewels from ancient lands. It is almost as big as Caleb's wolf, and even though that should worry me, it doesn't. Caleb is tense now, watching the size as well, but he walks a step further when are almost in front of him and I stand behind. "Who are you? What is that you need from us?" Caleb's voice is firm and strong, with no hint of anger. He is learning to control his temper around me, and let a more diplomatic side of him emerge.

I noticed the group of birds flying towards our direction like they were being chased. "They are close" Dana said and in a blink of an eye, she'd undressed and shifted into a big black panther with startling green eyes.

I could only assume that the body in front of him had been the victim of his wrath. "Malcolm?" I put my hands to my face, unsure how to process what I was seeing. A chill ran through me as I realized the panther in front of me had killed the Death Stalker and still held his head in his mouth. His eyes were ferocious, gleaming with a feral rage that made me shrink back. "What have you done, Malcolm?"

“Don’t worry, okay? Everything’s going to be alright.” I ask him about the mission, but he says that the Black Tiger is going to explain everything to me. Can you believe it? Everyone knows he doesn’t talk to anyone. I step outside, and see him riding a motorcycle in front of the building. He’s wearing a black silk shirt, opened to the chest, showing his pale skin. His hair is styled messily, with some strands covering his eyes. His gloved hands are on the grips, ready to start the vehicle. He turns his head and looks at me, and his dark stare makes my body shiver.

Standing on shaky legs, I pointed a trembling finger at the enormous black panther lying on the bed. The same panther. The SAME PANTHER! The one from last night. The one that had stared into my soul. The one I was convinced would eat me. And apparently— I had spent the entire night using it as a pillow. The panther lifted its massive head. Golden eyes blinked lazily. Then it yawned. Actually yawned. As if I wasn't having a life-threatening crisis. "What the hell?!" The panther merely flicked its tail. I looked around frantically.

Sometimes she saw a little dark blue in the depths of his eyes but from a distance they appeared the darkest shade of brown ever, bordering on black.
