I scanned the crowd, my heart pounding. My eyes caught on a man standing near the bar, slightly separated from the chaos around him. He was beautiful in a way that seemed almost dangerous—tall and broad-shouldered, with dark hair that looked like he'd run his hands through it one too many times. He wore all black, from his tailored shirt to his pants, and he held himself with the kind of quiet confidence that suggested he didn't need to prove anything to anyone. But it was his eyes that caught me. Even from this distance, I could see they were unusual—a pale, icy gray that seemed to cut through the dim lighting and look straight into me.

There were two other men behind them wearing dark suits, and bringing up the rear was a man and a woman who appeared to be in their mid-forties. There was gray throughout their hair, and they looked familiar, though she couldn’t say why. It took her a moment to realize they both had the same eye color as her. The woman had the same purple-blue color as North’s left eye, while the man had the exact same shade of green as her right eye.

Even the memory of that night tortured her. “But before he pushed me off the stairs, he looked right into my eyes.” Her eyes were full of tears. “Even though he was wearing a mask, I could see his eyes in the dark, they were gray.” She finished, her eyes staring up at me. I frowned, “Gray?” I asked. What was weirder was that most of my men had blue or gray eyes… She nodded, another tear slipped from her eye. I walked up to her, lifting my hand to pull her closer or wipe those tears off her cheeks. It was so fucking annoying to watch her cry.

Bia really was the right person to take care of Bian. Two sets of eyes with completely different colors locked onto each other: deep black and clear brown. Though the colors were vastly different, they held the exact same spark, reflecting each other's faces. It was a simple gaze, devoid of any attempt to convey a specific message. They had merely caught each other looking, yet both owners of those contrasting eyes felt as though they were compelled to stand still and soak in the gaze offered by the other.

After dwelling in the darkness all this time, I was finally able to see through it. Seeing something after so long in the dark was short-lived. The shape of something immense and terrifying took shape. There was a giant man whose skin was grey, not white like mine. He had a straight, pointed nose; his cheekbones were raised, emphasizing his bone structure; his lips were very thin and of blood-red colour. The hair was long and thick, its colour so black that it blended with the surrounding darkness, and it moved like it had a life of its own. Astonishingly, his eyes were black, elongated and devoid of iris, reflecting such immense power that my breath was taken away.

I left the room only for food and a bath. One day I was in my room, sitting on my table, painting a black sky when someone entered my room. I didn’t notice the presence near me until a white drop fell on the middle of my page. It smelled like vanilla. I raised my head and met a horrifying set of grey eyes. The light was kissing his cheekbones, sharp jawlines, and long pointy nose. His lips were curved in an ‘o’. Staring at him for another second made me realize that his eyes weren't exactly grey but the lightest shade of black mixed with a tinge of white and that eye color was formed.

My mother has bright blue eyes, while my dad has dark gray eyes. I on the other hand, have fiery eyes. They came out of nowhere since they were gray until two years ago. They have an amber glow at night, but during the day they’re a cross between a light orange, red, and amber. Because I lived with the human civilization, of course there were different reactions to them. Some people found them enchanting, while some thought I was a freak, hence why I finally decided to hide them behind gray contact lenses. I don’t actually need the contacts.

Two hundred, at the most. Save that, their appearance was no different from the people of the realm. Fair skin with a few people of darker shades. A few people bore blue or dull green eyes. At least one of them bore grey eyes. But mostly, they had brown eyes. It made Sethlzaar wonder where exactly they had come from, how long they had lived in the forest, and if they had been the ones often watching behind the scene. Still, there was a strangeness to his stay with them.

He was like a sin waiting to be committed. His eyes are something you wouldn't not notice. He had alluring grey eyes with a black ring in the center. The grey in his eyes bleed to black from anger, just like the shade when the sky is before the storm. His chocolate brown hair, which he preferred to be slicked back, gave him a sexy look. It's not that he was not sexy already.

“Hey, is Gray no longer with us?” “Yeah, he was murdered,” Hugo said. The news hit me like a ton of bricks. Gray was always a step ahead of everyone, unbeatable. I had a feeling he’d eventually piss someone off or get on the wrong side of someone. “Do you know this guy?” Hugo showed me a picture of another guy on his phone. This guy was ripped and covered in tattoos. His hair was pitch black, his eyes a piercing blue, and his look was tough, with multiple piercings in his ears and nose.
