The two men exchanged wary glances, one of them subtly reaching for his weapon.
Billy raised his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright. I’m leaving. You guys have a good night.”
He exited the tent casually, but as soon as he was out of sight, he bolted toward the rendezvous point.
When he arrived, Charles was already there, waiting in the shadows.
“What did you find?” Charles asked.
Billy recounted the encounter, emphasizing the rogue tattoos. Charles’s face darkened.
