There is a small gate for maids to enter and leave from mansion after their work. When I closed the gate slowly I felt tears rolling down on my cheeks due to happiness. Its surface rippled like water, reflecting skies that didn’t belong to this world.

The air grew heavier, thick with an electric charge that made the hair on our arms stand up and had the mounts whickering in primal terror. After twenty grueling minutes of climbing, breaking through the dense wall of mist and pine, the trail opened into a massive stone amphitheater carved directly into the highest peak of the northern range. And right in the center of the plateau stood the Veil Gate. It wasn't a building. It was a pair of colossal, ancient basalt pillars carved with glowing rune-script that pulsed with a sickening, rhythmic violet light. Suspended in mid-air between the two pillars was a shimmering, liquid-black tear in reality — the portal to the Outer Reach.

Lexa tried not to blush but it was difficult when he looked at her with his toxic emerald eyes. "Can we just go?" "That means you're not mad anymore?" We turned left from the avenue/street onto what looked like the entrance into a separated part of this mini city. I looked at the huge, metal...almost jail like gates. Guest quarters huh? "Fuck!" Brian screamed behind me. I whipped around to find him holding his hand which was glaring red and looked blistered. I walked up to him in two quick steps and assessed his hand with my own. "Oh did I forget to tell you not to touch the gates? They're silver..." He said and chuckled. I wanted to glare at him but kept my cool.

"Breathe, Damien…Breathe…You can do this." With one click, the door slowly opens. There is a bright light that blinds me but for a moment. No, I am not in heaven. I have entered when these humans have their day. Now let me paint you the picture. This is not a gate that leads into a rose garden. It is not the type of gate that leads into a park. This gate, well, it has landed me in a pile of filth and mud. Somewhere on the outskirts of this city, the gate that leads you to hell is found on the edge of an old abandoned graveyard.
