I had a strong feeling we needed the Pack’s hospital if there was any hope of reversing it. And to make matters worse, Bridget's stupid ass had already burned through an obscene amount of money trying to cover this mess up. “Heartbane Bloom,” I muttered. “That’s what we called this drug in class. It's a complicated spellwork, the formula’s known only to my kind. To make it, you have to gather a handful of impossibly rare plants.” I gave a humorless laugh. “And the price for it is just as ridiculous.” “I’ve never heard of that before…”

Noah hit the marble floor with the rhythmic clatter of heels as she walked down the hall toward her office. Long shadows stretched across polished floors, greeting her reflections with the morning sun bursting through the tall windows. Noah took a deep breath; the faint scent of fresh coffee still lingered in the air, mingling with her nerves. She wasn't anxious-she was ready.

’ Heart thought. “Why are you making my heart beat like this, huh?!” Cullen screamed angrily as he grabbed Heart’s hand and put it on his chest. Heart’s eyes widened more and he could even feel and hear his heart fluttering. ‘His heartbeat, it is so loud.’ Heart thought while looking at her hand on his chest. ‘But, why?! I don’t understand.’ Heart thought, she was still clueless and speechless about this.

He rolled out of its way, Arya jumped on its back. It bucked around the room wildly, trying to throw her off. The deafening screech spewed out of its mouth. She dug in deeper with her claws. Her teeth tore into the leather in a frenzy, focusing her attack in that soft area behind the flaps. A slow red pulse emitted from just beneath a flap. ‘At the center of most creatures lies the heart.’ His mother’s words carried through the fog of war. He lunged at the heart. Tearing with his teeth, clawing with his razor-sharp nails. He ripped through the hard leather and tore its heart out with his teeth.

Both of our eyes met his and his glee was crazed. “Yes! Did you know that the key to vampires ability of immortality actually lies within our hearts? The venom coats the inside of our hearts and it pumps through our entire body, coating everything in that venom. That’s what stops us from aging, stops us from dying. It all starts from the heart.” That same heart felt like it was sinking into the pit of my stomach. Hector’s grip on me tighter and I felt the slight shake in his grasp.

Brave I perceived a knife stabbed unswerving into my chest. The pointed tip of the knife landed through the skin of my heart. I am certain that very moment my heart does not wish to continue. Damn, my heart breaks. Oh man it is very painful. My heart is pounding very weak. It feels like my heart admits defeat and does not want to fight anymore. I couldn’t stop crying.

"How can you be so-" "Before you can give me a long lecture about how careless I am. You should know that I'm suffering from a serious heartbreak caused by you and it made me not concentrate in everything so I took a wrong step when I was going down the stairs causing me to fall down. So.. I'm not careless, it's just I can't handle the heartbreak." I gave him a lot speech. "So you're blaming it on me?" Noah pointed at himself and the two nurses beside me chuckling secretly.

"Hailey, help me," I was desperate to end the awful feeling inside but I knew that it'll forever be plastered in my system for the rest of my life. "Hailey I want to leave," I was sobbing in between my words.

she rolled her eyes. Why did my heart stop beating? "There he is. Hey babe, come over here. Look who I found" She waved to someone behind me. Shit.
