Ryan's POV As I stood at the brink of the cliff, the wind was harsh and chilly. The river thundered beneath me, its waves smashing against the rocks. Like the storm inside of me, it was wild and noisy. The doctor's words, "Six months left," kept coming back to me. We have run out of options.

She even offered to help give my husband 'massages' at night. Their clothes were entangled on the ground as their undressed bodies moved under the covers. The atmosphere was steamy in bed. How were they not afraid? Well, it was only normal that they were not worried about anything because I was 'blind'. I opened my eyes in the dark. It felt so disgusting that I wanted to throw up, but I pinched myself to hold it back. They had no idea that I had just been joking when I claimed to be blind. They started to go about their filthy ways when they heard that I could not see.

“About my eyes. The headaches. The blurred vision that’s been getting worse. He ran tests. Said the damage from that last accident… it’s progressing. I might lose my sight. Completely. Soon.” The words hung between us, heavy and final. I stared at him, the anger I’d been clutching so tightly suddenly slipping through my fingers like sand. “Zeden…” He pressed his forehead harder against mine, eyes closed. “So yeah… I’m terrified. Because if I go blind, I won’t be able to see your face anymore. I won’t be able to see our children grow up. I won’t be able to look at you when I tell you I love you. And the thought of that… it’s fucking killing me more than anything else.”

Jack immediately frowned and signaled for someone to take her away. His expression turned gloomy. He pulled Gabriel to the front of my car and forced him to kneel. Then, he grabbed a stick, striking Gabriel hard several times until Gabriel collapsed, whimpering in pain. After the hospital investigated, the only thing they found on the bottle was my fingerprint. No matter how I defended myself, it was useless. I was sentenced to five years in prison.
