Time flies by so quickly. As I stepped out of my luxury vehicle, the guard arrived to take my belongings and deliver them to someone assigned to my office.
The world's largest building, the center of attraction, and the building that employs millions of people, all of whom are paid well. A massive structure that provided employment regardless of your educational level. It was done on purpose to be categorical. From the lowest to the highest level of education attained.
It was the only building that hired a high school graduate and provided them with free education. Why? As a result, they will not remain on that ground for the rest of their lives.
DREAM HIGH CORPORATION provided all possible opportunities, particularly to those in need. It was a car dealership, the most recent dealership for all types of vehicles. We sell automobiles and all automobile accessories. Branches had been established all over the world, managed by people I knew and trusted. Yours truly, Zebastian Dawson, owns and manages it.
"Good morning, sir," my secretary said as she walked into my office.
I was about to take a seat when I noticed someone behind her, so I took a deep breath and sent my secretary out of the room.
She complied because she was used to it.
"What brought you here, Hattie?"
Hattie Lane is her name. the daughter of a business acquaintance. She was claiming that we were in a relationship, but that is not the case for me. She always combed her hair and wished her a good day. It's certainly not my fault. She needs my company, and I need her company too. But it will remain that way indefinitely. Give and take relationship.
She's not my type, to be honest, and I've lost interest in girls since... damn. I'm not going to think about it. It will undoubtedly ruin the day.
"Hello, Zeb. I've missed you."
She approaches me and sits on my lap. I could feel her soft butt in my lap and her massive boobs in front of me. This woman is a scumbag. She knows how to irritate me.
What the hell is wrong with me if all I feel for her is lust?
"Wait a minute, Hattie, I'm at work and it's office hours."
"Shhhh. Don't give that shit to me, Zeb. You own the company, and you always know how to make excuses, here you are the law; I know you."
"I know, but I have a meeting in an hour and I don't have time for this right now, so could you please..."
She was deafeningly silent. She had just kissed me passionately, and I could feel her hands in my toy. She attempted to unzip my pants, and there she is.
She began to remove her clothes until she was completely naked.
She's perfect—her figure, her skin, everything about her—so who am I to argue and resist?
I led her to the couch and gave her what she needed. I can see her biting her lips and closing her eyes as she played the game.
It was early in the morning, but I was exhausted from caressing her big boobs. I sucked her in and made her happy.
We just laughed together.
That's how we do it. Anytime, anywhere..
That was part of growing up for me. Having sex with Hattie brightened my day. Unfortunately, it wasn't just sex on her part, and that was the part I despised the most...
When Hattie finished putting on her dress, she looked at me.
"What?" I asked her as I rushed to get ready for my meeting.
"I was just wondering when you were going to propose to me."
I burst out laughing.
"What's funny?" she asked again, crossing her brows...
"Hattie, you've got to be kidding; if it's a joke, okay, it made me laugh," I said.
"Zeb, I'm not making fun of you, it was never a joke on me, and you know that. I'm serious.. I'm serious.. You are at your right age, and so am I. I wanted to build a family of my own like my brothers have; I am the only one single in the family, and.."
"Hattie, getting married was never on my mind, okay? You can see how busy I am with my business, and I wanted to focus on it. We had an agreement. We came into this kind of setup. No pressure, no commitment at all, and most importantly, no marriage to talk about. I was just trying to remind you..." I said, adjusting my tie.
I saw disappointment on her face. I'm familiar with her.
"Zeb, didn't you tell me you were taking that seriously? We're just having sex for no reason? You know, I love you, and I've always been by your side; I never looked around for a replacement, knowing that guys out there are willing to do anything to replace you. Everything just to be with me!"
"Hattie, I wasn't one of those guys; remember how I said I don't like commitments and hate pressures in relationships? That was a big distraction on my part as a businessman."
"So unreasonable, Zeb. Businessmen are seen to be very happy with their own families, which serves as their inspiration and motivation."
"I'm not one of them..- having a family was never my plan.. I can go out for fun, and that's enough for me, so if you think you're wasting your time staying with me, then you're free to go and find that soon-to-be family that you were saying, okay? I won't stop you."
I couldn't imagine saying those words to such a beautiful woman.
I'm sorry for what happened to her, but I was just trying to be true to myself and to her.
I'm familiar with her kind. I know she was just looking for my name. Being associated with the name I worked so hard to obtain. a name that was once underestimated and dismissed.
I know that girls will strive for a bright future. They will seek a good and comfortable life, one that will ensure that all of their needs are met.
"I'm sorry, Hattie, but I can't stay in my office all day, I need to catch up on my meeting, and I think I'm 10 minutes late, I have to go."
She took her handbag and left the office first. I'm sure she felt bad about what I said to her—life. that's It is sometimes necessary to hear something negative in order to realize that we are not always on top.
And I'm sorry that Hattie had to deal with the worst of me. I altered... from a man with nothing but the desire to give love. to a man who has everything but doesn't believe in the concept of love
Not any longer...
That was after I was dumped because I had nothing to offer.
Ryan's POVHer eyes slowly opened, and I was surprised by how bright the blue was. Her face was clouded by bewilderment as she glanced at me for a time."Where am I, exactly?" Her voice was rough and feeble as she whispered.I spoke calmly as I leaned in closer. "You're secure. The river was where you were. I dragged you here after pulling you out.Her face furrowed as though she were attempting to recall something, and she blinked. Her eyes were a mixture of fear and confusion when they locked with mine. She questioned, "Who are you?""My name is Ryan. I whispered softly, "I am the Alpha of this pack. "You shouldn't be concerned. Nobody here is going to harm you.Glancing around the room, she took in her surroundings. Her hands were firmly gripping the blanket, and I could see the tightness in her body. I was concerned that she didn't appear to recall anything. It was different to witness memory loss than to have Clara warn me about it."What's your name?" In an attempt to hold her a
Ryan's POVAs I stood at the brink of the cliff, the wind was harsh and chilly. The river thundered beneath me, its waves smashing against the rocks. Like the storm inside of me, it was wild and noisy. The doctor's words, "Six months left," kept coming back to me. We have run out of options. It was unbelievable to me. This was how it was going to end after all the fights I had fought and the things I had overcome. A disease no one could treat. Nothing I accomplished would change the fact that I only had six months to live. Instead of a damaged guy, my pack needed a strong Alpha. Both to them and to myself, I felt like a failure.I moved one step nearer to the cliff's brink. Perhaps this is a better option. My pack would look for a new leader who could keep them safe. As I gazed down at the river, my heart was pounding. It would all be over with one more step. Then I noticed it.The water below has something floating in it. I initially believed it to be debris. I squinted, though, and
Ivy’s POVMy whole body was shaking in the cold cell. Sitting in the corner, I ran my fingers through my blue hair, which used to make me unique but now only served as a reminder of all I had lost. As I considered all that had transpired, my heart ached. I was preparing for my mating ritual just yesterday. I was now being treated like a criminal in this gloomy jail.A little window high up on the wall was the sole source of light. I could see the soiled stone walls around me since it let in just enough moonlight. The musty, wet scent of the cell suggested that no one had been there for a while. They may not have used these cells very often, so that could have been a positive thing. Or maybe it was a warning sign—perhaps inmates had not been here for very long.I tried to ignore the notion by shaking my head. That's not how I could think. I have to be resilient. My parents were always on my mind. Were they alright? Were they also in such cells? Or worse, someplace? I couldn't get the l
Ivy’s povThe guards dragged me away while holding me tightly. They didn't care whether their hands injured me, therefore they were hard on my arms. I was no longer able to see my parents, but I could still hear them yelling somewhere behind me.It hurt how quickly my heart was racing. Where had they taken me? How would my parents fare? My mind was racing with these questions, but I had no answers."Let me go!" The guards were too powerful for me to get away from. My efforts did nothing to weaken their hold. Never before had I felt so weak and powerless.Behind us, the furious voices of the crowd grew louder. They were the same individuals who once bowed to me and referred to me as their savior. They wanted me punished now. My head turned and my ears rang from their yells. My heart stopped racing when I realized where we were as the guards pushed me forward. The Law Ground. They brought the most terrible offenders here. Most visitors who commit a crime didn't make it out alive.I look
Ivy povAs I sat amid the old trees and sought peace in their silent wisdom, the moon threw silver rainbows through the woodland canopy. Today was meant to be the happiest day of my life. My name is Ivy. Rather, I ended up here, attempting to slow my heartbeat before the event that would change eve
