SANDRA’S POV I crouched behind a fallen cedar at the edge of the hunter’s blind, rain dripping off the brim of my hood and pooling in the hollow of my collarbone. The blind itself was nothing more than warped planks nailed between two pines, half-rotted and smelling of wet moss and old blood. I had chosen it because the wind always blew toward me here, carrying scents instead of giving them away. Darius arrived exactly when he said he would, midnight, boots crunching deliberately on wet needles so I would hear him coming.

James shook his head. “Not officially.” Lucas stared at him. “Unofficially?” James looked at Xavier. “That's where things become complicated.” Xavier opened another file. “Give me the coordinates.” James did. Xavier entered them. A map appeared. Lucas stared at the location. It was approximately forty kilometers outside Hilton City. Surrounded by forest. No major roads. No registered buildings. Lucas's eyes narrowed. “What did my grandfather call it?” James looked at him. “Safe Haven.”

Finally. "Where is it?" I demanded. He paused, hesitating briefly then continued speaking as he knew that withholding information would be deadly at this point. "West of Blackthorn, near the Ashen Vale cliffs. Hidden in the caves.” A wide smirk grew on Kael’s face. He was just as ready as I was. "Prepare a team. We're hitting them at dawn." Two Days Later… The cold wind blew strong , biting at my skin as I stood, watching the ashen vale from a distance. Its sharp peaks pointed at the sky as the sun began to rise.

I could tell he was pondering whether Damon could be trusted or not, so I decided to say, “I believe Damon is correct. If she had a lair, she would definitely go back to it. Plus, my time with the rogues we spent all in the north and I believe this is where we will find her.”

Tanner says, turning his laptop around so Mack could see the screen. “One is in Wyoming, another one in Oklahoma and one in Montana.” Tanner says, before asking “Montana, Montana, Montana….
