Not that it mattered since I could not see anything, but at least I would not start to tear up. Later, they moved me off the bed and into a wheelchair to check my eyes. I listened to the sounds from the noisy hallway as they wheeled me into the examination room. Since I was blind, I had to rely on my ears for everything. I stayed alert like I had super-hearing. The doctor kept telling me not to worry and that everything would be okay. He explained that concussions sometimes caused temporary blindness. Actually, I had started to calm down, so I was not that fearful anymore.

I close and open my eyes a few times, trying to force myself to stay awake and focus on the fight. However, the dark black spots are slowly creeping through my vision, making the blurry figures even worse. I don’t know how long they were fighting for and as they were both really blurry, I tried to move back as one of the blurry figures started walking back toward me, not knowing which one won.

Red dots found a way into my vision every time I close my eyes. “Hunter…get out of here.” I found myself muttering. “Wha-” “GET. THE. FUCK OUT OF HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO JOIN YOUR SORRY ANCESTORS!!!” I bellowed at him. My Peripheral vision caught the view of his body scrambling out of the doctor's shed of an office. The moment he was gone, it went red. ~~~~~~~ Heavy pants and awful sirens filled my ears. My eyes are solely spinning with black dots covering every potential seeing spot.

That day left me blinded for life, it left me scarred and it left me to the event that changed my whole life around. Two years had gone by since I was left blinded by that hunter's trap. My parents didn't care when I came home, bumping into things, with blood on my face. Paetyn’s POV For a split second, my brain convinces me I’m blind. Darkness surrounds me, engulfing me whole and holding me hostage. But the soft buzzing working its way into the depths of my mind tells me that I haven’t been completely dragged down to the depths of hell with no sight of return. Not yet, at least.
