She waved her hand a dozen times, but she saw nothing, all darkness. Now Sydney could no longer fool herself. She really couldn't see anything! The fear of losing her sight overwhelmed Sydney all at once. Her body began to tremble, and she burst out tears. She was really scared now. She didn't know what to do. What could a blind person do after all? How could she lead Skylight if she was blind? How could she take revenge? Even if her enemy stood right in front of her, she wouldn't have seen it!

THIRD PERSON POV Cortical Blindness. The Doctor’s diagnosis rang in Isabella’s head once again as she stared at the blur, emptiness deep-rooted within her. The baby had taken her sight. Temporary or not, the doctor couldn't say how long this would last. The past hours had been the toughest of her life. Discomfort engulfed her, her heart was thumping so fast as she feared what lurked around her. She tried to picture an image of her face but not much popped up. Before now it never occurred to her to stare at herself regularly.

She had come only because of one thing, which was… She looked at the specialist and said solemnly, "I already did a follow-up somewhere else. Everything looks fine, so there's no need for you to check me again." The specialist was taken aback and hesitated. "Then why did you come here today?" "I want to ask for a consultation. If the nerves in the brain are damaged and there is a blood clot pressing on the optic nerve so that it leads to blindness, is blindness an absolute certainty?" Everything got blurry and then dark and then I couldn't see anything." I heard Blake talking on the phone. "I need a doctor here immediately. My wife has gone blind... I don't know what caused it... No, she didn't hit her head... Yes, she has cancer... Stage three... She's six months pregnant... Just get here now!"
