She left for the kitchen. In the brief moment of stillness, James could hear the sounds of Karen grabbing a mug out of the cabinet and pouring coffee. Blakeney cleared his throat. “Well, I’m sure you’re wondering why I’m here.” “Yes, sir, I am.” “Thank you,” Blakeney said to Karen, taking the offered cup of coffee. “I’m the director for a preparatory academy called Mount Olympus. It’s located just outside of Washington D.C. in Alexandria, Virginia. The academy has been around for a long time and is steeped in tradition and academic excellence. One of the benefits of my job is being able to talk to prospective students. Now, normally this would take place in my office, as most students are ap

Rosa muttered, “I should’ve taken her out when I had the chance.” “Rosa,” Elena warned. “What?” Rosa shrugged innocently. “I meant take her out to brunch. Relax, boss.” Everyone burst into laughter. Elena shook her head, but her lips curved despite herself. *** By mid-morning, Elena accompanied Sophie and Rose to the private academy. The halls smelled of polished wood and chalk, sunlight streaming through wide windows. Rose clutched Elena’s hand tightly. “What if they don’t like me?” “They will,” Sophie said matter-of-factly. “You’re with me. Nobody messes with me.”

A giant school sat behind it, big enough to fit over a thousand students. Balor dropped my hand, looking at us, excitement swirling in his sapphire eyes. Reyna gasped, lost in the beauty of what Balor and I had created. "As the creator of this fine establishment. I'd like to be the first to welcome you both to Bloodstone Academy." ~~~ Damon One year after that.

“Alright, alright, it is all my fault. No more tears from your eyes, okay? Let my hands check your skin to make sure you are not hurt.” “My wolf is totally fine, let’s go inside my pack den and talk normally.” Blossom is now a teacher for the tiny little pack pups. She whips out her shell-phone super fast to call the pup school and take the whole sun off from her work. With her phone tucked away in her fur coat, Blossom links her arm right with my dress and our boots head inside her stone den. “Your mind has absolutely no idea how much Winona and my spirit missed your scent all these winters. Our paws never stopped searching every corner of the woods for your heels, but your wolf was just no

Lily had many questions. Ethan stood beside me while she conducted her inspection of the reading corner, his arm occasionally brushing mine, neither of us doing anything about it. We'd arrived at a strange new geography in the last two weeks since Thursday night, since properly meant where we were closer than before in every way except the one that was still being saved for something intentional. It made the ordinary proximity sharper. More present. Every accidental brush of his arm against mine landed with a specificity I felt for longer than it lasted. "She's going to run this school within a year," he said quietly, watching Lily interrogate Ms. Adeyemi about the worm composting programme.

“Good morning everyone. As some of you might already know, I’m professor Astor, but you can call me Elio. I’m your assistant professor for modern literature.” While the guys mummured about how chill their professor was, the girls giggled at his handsome masculinity. Except Vanessa of course. She was mortified. It felt like they were doing something wrong. How would she explain that Professor Astor had seen her naked in a tub before, or that he had picked her rose toy off the floor? She just hoped that she would be able to survive this. Since she got to Brooklyn, she had been going through one drama or the other. While she didn't entirely hate her experience, she was mortified by it. Now that

“This isn’t freedom. You’re imprisoning me!” “Imprisoning? No, my dear. I’m liberating you from the chaos of the world outside,” Lily replied, her voice laced with false sweetness. “In this place, you can be who you were always meant to be a princess adored by all.” Bloom stood amidst the vibrant flowers of the Garden of Hypnosis, the colorful petals swaying gently in the breeze. The air was thick with the intoxicating scent of jasmine and roses, wrapping around her like a warm embrace. For a fleeting moment, everything felt perfect, as if she had stepped into a world where her dreams had finally come true.“This is your home, Bloom,” Lily’s voice echoed through the garden, soothing and melod

Erica said and Jenny smiled. “Well her name is Blossom, she tends to the garden of magical herbs and spices.” Erica watched as she nurtured the plants with her delicate touch, coaxing them to grow with vibrant colors and intense flavors. “Blossom's knowledge of herbology is what allows her to create potions and infusions that add an extra layer of enchantment to all the dishes. She even sometimes makes herbal medicines for anyone who gets sick in the palace and kingdom, whether it is an animal or any other creature,” Clio told Erica.

At least right now. “‘Kind of’ sounds exciting,” Blossom says, her eyes wide. “She knew you would come for her, so clearly you guys became really good friends. But not best friends, because she is my best friend.” “Care to explain?” The other rogue asks, like he has some sort of authority here, and I narrow my eyes at him. “Who the hell are you again?” I ask, and he sighs heavily. “Ames.” “Ah…And why do you feel entitled to anything from me?” I grunt.
