Please. *Answer me.* The Scorchmark *cracked.* Not breaking. *Opening.* A seam appeared in the black glass. Widening. And from within— *Light.* Not silver. Not red. *Both.* Intertwined. Spiraling. *Beautiful.* The light surged upward. Coalesced. And when it faded— A blade remained. Hovering above the crack. Waiting. It was *magnificent.* The metal was dark—almost black—but traced with veins of silver and crimson that pulsed like a heartbeat.

If anything, what I had seen on the TV seemed dull in comparison to what went on in the Iridescence Pack. My eyes widened and my jaw became slack as I realized why this was called the Carnival Cerulean. Bundles of living flame were suspended in the air, casting their beautiful light on the Carnival below. The flames weren’t normal, flickering with orange and red light. They were a rich shade of blue, cerulean to be exact. Within those flames were different shades and colors, all stemming from the color blue. They crackled and snapped, sending cobalt embers into the air whenever something managed to catch itself in the flames.

Lucy held the stone up to the light, admiring the way it caught the moon's rays and reflected them back with an ethereal, otherworldly glow. The stone itself was a deep shade of blue, the color of the night sky just before dawn. Its surface was flecked with tiny specks of silver, like stars scattered across the heavens. As Lucy turned the stone over in her hand, she could see that it was not just a single shade of blue, but rather a spectrum of colors that seemed to shift and change with every movement.

The wind had a metallic tang, cold and heavy. "My skin—Kaelor, look." Aradaa shoved his sleeve up. His veins weren't blue anymore. They were bright, molten silver, pulsing in time with the slow crawl of the moon across the sun. The glow was bright enough to cast shadows against the peeling wallpaper.

I add. “What does this glow look like?” Rye asked. “Devon and Nate glow a bright iridescent silvery colour. Kaleb glows a bright darker blue colour and Reece glows a bright darker green colour. I also notice a darker blue halo around Kyalni and a darker green halo around Mykenzie. The halo seems to follow them. Nymyra also has a bright silver glow to her.” I answer. No one says anything, and I have a feeling they think I am crazy. I see Rye look at Chris, and I can tell they are communicating without words. None of the three women seemed to be phased by this. It’s like they already know.

I gasp. My eyelids fly open. “What is it?” Mitch asks with great interest. Standing, as well. Blue had not been a hue I’d contemplated, for fear it would meld right into the ocean scenery. No, I want something that grabs and commands attention. I immediately visualize a shade so rich and brilliant, a blue-turquoise so sensational, it truly would be a beacon. Turquoise and white. With a darker blue or possibly black as a faint enhancement around the fringes to make it all pop.
