Celeste asks whilst walking to the second pool. There she swirls the liquid and the souls to wake them up. These souls are not gathered in one place; instead, they are spread out evenly, with three main types of colours. Black, which is the least of the majority, red which is the second largest group and then blue, which is the majority of the souls.

Celeste: “Tempting, but the quarry already has dibs on tonight for Atlantean 101. No room for a shoe funeral.” Seras leans between the seats. Seras: “New rule: the new pair has to be even louder than the old ones.” Kayo holds up her phone. Kayo: “I found a customizer online who’ll dye them any color and embroider whatever you want. My vote: black with tiny glowing tridents that only show up underwater.” I grin. Celeste: “Sold.” We spend an hour picking the exact shade (deep storm-cloud purple with a faint shimmer that shifts to ocean teal when the light hits it).

Celeste asked, her voice full of mischief as she looked at Kieran. I pulled her close, kissing the top of her head. “We won together, my love.” “That’s a shame!” She stuck out her tongue at Kieran and went on to brag about how she won her own race with the other pups. “Oh, you won?” Kieran asked, but before Celeste could answer, he snatched her small body from the ground, throwing her in the air like she weighed nothing. Her giggles filled the air, filling my heart with happiness. But as she turned midair to ask me for help, the sun caught the intoxicating emerald that her once blue eyes had become over the years.

As soon as we got out of my truck the salesman came right to me like a moth to a light. "Hello I'm roger what car are we lookin for sir?" Roger smiled thinking I was the buyer. "I am not the buyer she is." I said pointing to Celeste. " Oh well hello what kind of car are you looking for? I have a cute little civic over here. sweetie." he tried to be over sweet but came out as condisending. " No thanks please don't talk to me like that. I want this one." she said as she walked over to a blue 150 super crew. It was nice.

Plinio's POV: “Celeste?” My eyes open as wide as the door. I think the alcohol has finally kicked in. Celeste is standing in front of me in a denim straight skirt, white cross stitch sweater, black leg warmers, and black Chelsea boots. A dark blue bandana is on the top of her head tied in a small bow and her ever-black hair is tumbling down to her waist. There is a mix of expressions on her face; joy, sadness, confusion but discomfort stands out in that contorted smile on her glossy lips.

I looked at Lexus and stopped when I saw that his eyes were slowly burning with desire. I slowly swallowed and bent down to capture his lips. "Celeste…"

The revelation struck Celeste harder than anything else. Her mother was a Justin. Her grandfather was Elias Justin. But somewhere in her bloodline was a Blackwood. And the system had just confirmed that her DNA was connected to the Blackwood side of Eve. Helia said dropping another droplet of green liquid onto the table. The image changed again. This time the woman, Celeste, sat on a huge gold throne. The room she was in was extravagant and everything was blinding white. Her long white dress clung to her body perfectly, flowing down past her feet. It made her dark hair and light eyes pop. She was the most striking woman I had ever seen. The way Celeste sat on the throne exuberated power and grace. All I wanted to do was reach my hand out and touch her.
