HIDDEN EDGES
Sighing, I turn the lights back on and cover my small seven-year-old frame with the sheets, a habit I’ve formed for whenever I can’t sleep.
I feel someone lying beside me in the blanket and I jump out of my bed landing on the ground. A small elf the size of a watermelon comes out of the sheets.
“Don’t you want to know about your dad?” he says, a small green elf wearing this weird little pink outfit and I scurry backwards.
“Now child, I’m not here to harm you,” he says, raising both hands, then jumps down, “I’m here to heal you.”
