Is it just me but the way he added the word ‘mate’ seems like, if I dared go against his so-called rules- I’m sure dead? “Rule one- Never on any circumstances leave this mansion without my consent. Even though I hadn't been paying full attention, a few rules had managed to stick. "In case you forgot, dating a teacher is strictly prohibited, handsome." I turned back around to face them. They were frantically trying to fix their clothes. The guy froze mid-buttoning when he realized I hadn't left yet. He turned toward me, his wide eyes locking onto mine as he took me in. I cleared my throat. "But hey, whatever. Rules are meant to be broken." He looked away and resumed buttoning his shirt. I let out a sharp sigh. "Next time, be more careful. Not everyone is as nice as I am," I deadpanned.

I looked across the entire room. “And one more thing. Everyone standing here tonight, remember this. The Leon family can replace a district boss. It can replace drivers, lawyers, mistresses, accountants, and even the groom at a wedding. But the rules do not change. Anyone who tries to use this family as a ladder to climb up the ranks, I’ll break their legs.” This time, every single person lowered their head. I knew this fight was far from over. The real retaliation would begin tomorrow. However, I had been waiting for this day for far too long.

“Good girl.” The praise hit me low in my belly and I hated how much I liked it. “Second rule,” he continued. “You will complete every task I assign you without complaint. Academic or otherwise. Third rule: You will not touch yourself without my permission. Not even to relieve the frustration I intend to cause you.” My breath caught. He was already planning to torment me. “Fourth rule,” he said, leaning down slightly. “Complete honesty. If I ask you a question, you answer it fully. No matter how humiliating. Understand?”

Rowan cocikly blew a kiss my way, I blushed hard at the interaction and it was real. Number sixteen from the opposing team used that as a chance to crash into Rowan, giving someone a thump's up in the crowd. "Do you have to be a fraud?" Kieran pushed the guy back. The game halted, the ice was cold yet so how much heat emitted from it. Casper was fast enough to stand between them, even before Rowan could get the chance to fight back. I had no idea what Casper had said to them, but it angered them more, which at the same time fueled them.
