"It was an attack! Robin was shot on the mountain road on the way home--shot in the head. Vicky said... she said you should come to the hospital as soon as possible... to s-see him one last time..." Crash. Ferdinand's knees gave out. He knocked over a low stool beside him and collapsed heavily onto the floor. He looked up at the butler with hollow eyes. "What... did you say?" he asked blankly. "Who am I supposed to see one last time?" "Sir!" Garth rushed forward to help him up, but Ferdinand grabbed him by the front of his shirt. Ferdinand's fingers clenched until his knuckles turned white, his eyes bloodshot. "Say it again! Who am I going to see?!"

Ferdinand answered politely, dropping his cutting tool. "I need to know, here and now. Are we dating or we are just gist partners? Ferdinand seemed shocked. Though he is as old as Mrs Fonder, he doesn't seem like he has forgotten his late wife. "We are good friends and I appreciate every moment we spend together, but dating? I am not sure about that". Mrs Fonder felt heart broken. She seem to have believed that his gestures were born out of a place of affection for her. "Then why? She asked and her voice broke.

Even Ferdinand would invite him again to talk about them. They unite because it is one’s lone battle and the other could make benefits of it. So Ferdinand remains friendly to Grant, following him on his discourse and staying up with it. "But if they fall down and learn their lesson, will you pick them up?" Ferdinand continued after the opening of the round of scoffing at Leal Vetement. It is not like Ferdinand could afford opening sympathies to this little shop. But if he knows what Grant would do to them, he will have an idea on how far negative consequences could go against him in defeating the Mercator Group little by little.

Mr Ferdinand found a nook in the tap-room on this particular evening, and settled down to his glass of daffy, keeping a lookout for any acquaintance who might come in. Plenty of people did come in, but although he might nod to some of them, or exchange a brief greeting, his particular friends were not among them. Tom Belcher, the great Jem's brother, strolled in arm in arm with old Bill Bobbies. They stood chatting awhile with Boa before he went through into the parlor. Gentleman Clarkson arrived with a party of Corinthians whom he was amusing with one of his stories. Mr Ferdinand watched them all without envy, and called for another glass of daffy.

Nathan stumbled with his drink and froze, his breath catching in his throat. Sitting next to him, was a man whose reputation preceded him in whispers and fearful glances—Kill Shot. Nathan's blood ran cold. Few people in the underworld recognized Ferdinand, and Nathan was one of them. Ferdinand's presence was a chilling contrast to the opulence of the mansion. His sharp features and piercing eyes exuded a deadly calm. He acknowledged Nathan with a slight nod, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips, as he walked away. "Nathan!" Isla said, her voice rough and annoyed as she walked toward the bar, "Stay close to me, I am not in the mood for your nonsense ."

Ferdinand was restless for some reason he couldn't explain. As if something was about to happen, seeing his expression, Eden couldn't stand it any longer. “You looked a mess, uncle. Shouldn't you be happy Farrah and her husband's alive? Why look bothered?” She too have heard about the news of Farrah and Dior being alive. At first, she thought Ferdinand had gone mad due to grief, but when she heard the recording of the call from the night before, she immediately burst into tears.
