His wolf wanted to howl, but he kept himself under control. Redlock nodded and stood. He walked back and forth before the desk as he recited, his hands on his sword belt. "Yes. But the foolish Lord Bernie’s champion, Fernidand, is lame with the bloody knee pain again. Once more I have a shortage, young boy, and a circumstance occurring all too often now demands that the higher ups need a responsible man like yourself." The old man halted his pacing and dealt with Finn. "Hence, the time has come to train Ferdinand's replacement." His gray-silver eyes fixed on Finn's, who met his stare without flinching. "You are young, maybe, but I am confident that a man of your excellence is comparable to t

) Ferdinand clenched his fist and grinned. “It’s too late, Verno; I will win our battle, bring justice to Josephine’s death, and make Scarlett pay for all your sins!” (“Enough. I know Josephine isn’t the only reason for all of this! I can’t believe you’d risk your life in the pit!”) Ferdinand came to a halt and threw the items in front of him. “Shut up! Just sit there and watch your beloved granddaughter die!” (“Fernando—!”)

And for the first time since that night in the ruins… I was afraid. Not for me. But for them. Because Ferdinand wasn’t just coming for revenge. He was coming to reclaim what he believed was his. And he wouldn’t care how many bodies it took to make it happen.

"Apparently that makes me weak and unsuitable for succession." The casual way he mentioned execution made my blood run cold, but it also explained the bone-deep pain I'd sensed during our healing connection. Ferdinand had been forced to choose between his conscience and his family, and he'd chosen to remain true to himself despite the consequences. "You're not weak," I said firmly. "You're brave. Braver than anyone has a right to expect." "That means more to me than you know," he said, raising our joined hands to press a gentle kiss to my knuckles. "Especially coming from you."

The first piece of the Crown. Lyra’s heart skipped a beat, the blood freezing in her veins. The Bone Crown had never been forged from five fragments. It had been forged from six. And the sixth had never been mounted—it had been left behind, buried beneath the First Anvil, waiting in the dark. The nail rose level with the stone floor. And as it drifted forward, every single dead Crown-Bearer slumped against the cavern walls slowly, sickeningly lifted its head. The faceless smith whispered a single, final command into the gloom: "Run."

"Don't worry, Gabby. Sabrina will have the revenge she always wanted." --- No matter what happened, Ferdinand left the villa and went directly to the grave that they dug and took a DNA sample, bones, teeth, and other items they could collect for testing. He stared at the bones—it didn't seem like his wife to him. He left the monument to where he saw her. Maybe she's still alive, and she just forgot them. It's possible, but why should it take this long? Ferdinand was obsessed now with finding out what happened to his wife—but only Sabrina knows.

He walked over and pulled Beauty out of Ferdinard's grasp. "Hey what's your deal man?" Ferdinand protested but Bruno silenced him with a hard punch to the face. Ferdinard stumbled and Bruno, who was now drunk, lost his own balance too. 'I'm fine, I'm fine," he muttered to no one in particular as blurred figures surrounded him. Ferdinand got up angrily to rush at him, but the male members held him back. "He's clearly drunk; let it go," one of them said. "That idiot raised his hand to me, because his father is Hathaway, he thinks he can hit for no reason and go free!"

Immediately Ferdinand arose from the dining table, he turned around to face a gun that was pointed to him. "Where's my money, Winters? Or where is she?" His voice was aggravated as Ferdinand fell to his knees. His eyes met with the timid ones of his guards who'd allowed Henderson in despite all the instructions. They shrugged their shoulders with as much fear in their eyes as Theresa. "Give me some time, i said" Ferdinand was shameful, bringing his hands together to beg Mr Henderson. "Where is she?" She snarled, and it was obvious who he meant by she. "Sofia!" The sound of her daughter's name shuddered her heart that Theresa began to sob in terror. His gaze was caught by her slouched positio

The son—sons—Bertha was expecting were her husband's. She gave Ferdinand his own son. But for some reason, he never killed them. It doesn't matter at this point why he didn't, only that she's in trouble. She starts joining the pieces. So when Felix was on the phone, it was with his brother. And when he said 'dad's dead', he meant Ferdinand. Ferdinand is dead? "I've been waiting for this moment my whole life," he continues. "I've always wanted to meet the woman who ruined my life before it began."

"It was an attack! Robin was shot on the mountain road on the way home--shot in the head. Vicky said... she said you should come to the hospital as soon as possible... to s-see him one last time..." Crash. Ferdinand's knees gave out. He knocked over a low stool beside him and collapsed heavily onto the floor. He looked up at the butler with hollow eyes. "What... did you say?" he asked blankly. "Who am I supposed to see one last time?" "Sir!" Garth rushed forward to help him up, but Ferdinand grabbed him by the front of his shirt. Ferdinand's fingers clenched until his knuckles turned white, his eyes bloodshot. "Say it again! Who am I going to see?!"
