he explains as I growl when he touches my hip causing a shooting pain to radiate up my leg. ‘We can do this, just deep breaths and focus,’ Reika encourages not wanting us to heal wrong and becoming a gimp the rest of our lives. “Ok,” I agree before taking a few deep breaths and focusing on shifting back. I slowly shift, screaming as I feel every bone shift and grind as they move back into position. As Hanzo suspected my right femur broke in the process of shifting almost knocking me out. “Hanzo!” I scream at the top of my lungs as I’ve never been in so much pain. “Hanzo,” I whimper, breathing heavily with my hands shaking and holding my thigh as he kneels in front of me.

McKenna who if I'm not mistaken is only a year older than me. We turned to her while she was doing her work until I felt Mahalia look at me again it was obvious that she didn't like the presence of the newcomer so I just smiled at her and then nodded. We were all silent until Dra. Hatz finished what she was doing. Saighna then pulled from my hand the record I made with Grandpa and then she wrote something on it when she returned it to me, my analysis was indeed confirmed. "You have osteoporosis, Sir Alejandro. This is a bone disease where your bones become fragile. Lack of calcium and Vitamin D are some of the causes of this, as well as having a fracture or breaking a bone," Saighna explaine

"This is our barbed spike. It's a little different from the barbed creatures on this planet—ours is made of a stronger material and can cut through most prey or enemies." "It looks like a thin sword." Cleona squinted. "Is that what you use for killing?" "Sometimes." Bobby raised his arm and turned his wrist. "It's very crude and is usually our last defense. A 'Do or Die' weapon." He pointed the said weapon at Galene. "I can't feel hers beneath the skin—except at the elbow, so I think her spike has snapped off—or was sawn off. That's quite a feat—this is ten times stronger than bone. It also doesn't grow back." Bobby shot Galene a sympathetic glance.

He’d already begun to ready his lab for what would surely go down in the science journals as a work of genius. Chappo’d been diagnosed five years ago with FOP, Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, a disease that continued to turn his precious muscles, tendons, and ligaments to bone. What a cruel twist of fate indeed, being an archeologist at the ripe age of thirty-two, digging up ancient fossilized bones, only to become a living one himself. Western medicine had nothing to offer. Knowing he lived on borrowed time, he sought out all kinds of alternative treatments while practicing a calm, trauma-free lifestyle. But none could stop the cruel encroachment of the disease. The stress from the t

I managed a faint smile through the pain. “Yeah. The bottle won. But just barely.” Dr. Monroe chuckled and pulled up a rolling stool. “Alright, let’s take a look. Mind lifting your foot here for me?” I placed my foot on the table and bit my lip as even the movement sent sharp pain shooting up my leg. “Okay, okay,” he said gently, noticing the way my jaw tightened. “We’ll go slow. Just let me examine first.” He carefully unzipped the sneaker I’d barely managed to shove halfway on, then peeled off my sock with practiced care. My big toe was really swollen now and angled slightly outward in a way that made my stomach turn.

It was tight, strained, but devoid of the scream that should have been there. "Your bone density is... abnormal," the doctor said, the drill changing pitch as it hit resistance. "It's like trying to drill into concrete. Are you sure you haven't had metal implants before?" "Calcium," Cale gritted out. "Supplements." "That's a lot of milk, son." Whirrrrrr. Click. "Okay. The pin is set. I'm locking the external fixator. This is going to stabilize the tibia so you can stand. But you are not—I repeat, not—to put full weight on it. You lean on the crutches. Understood?"

"That's a big deal, and you're taking it lightly? Here, let me see." Rose touched both legs lying on the bed. Pressing in turn on the fibula or calf bone, just to make sure of Theo's reaction when she gave pain - a hard blow. "Next time try to be a little more expressive, so I know which one is numb and which one is not. If your face is so flat I won't be able to diagnose properly!" Rose protested when Theo didn't show a facial expression that Rose could learn from. At least being responsive to the touch of her hand.

I smiled a bit, struggling to believe what I had just heard Cayden say. “That’s great news. But she’s going to fix Your Highness's arm how?” Daniel asked and stepped closer to us, his words filling me with understanding. I turned back to look at Cayden, realizing the importance of Daniel’s question. “Yeah. We lost my Ulna in the lava. If she’s to fix it, we’ll need an Ulna bone— my exact one.” I said sadly in my realization as my hopes crashed back to the ground. Andrea’s grip around me loosened. “That’s true.” She said sadly too. We had gotten our hopes up for nothing.

Samantha was eager to know, "What about me? Is there anything wrong with my health?" Elio looked at her and said with confidence, "Your right heel has been hurt, with a bone bruise and swelling in the bone marrow. It happened three years ago. It might look okay, but it's not fully healed. If you're on your right foot too long, it really hurts, doesn't it?" "Oh my gosh, I can't believe how spot-on you are!"

“How adorable!” “Focus!” I snapped, opening my anatomy book and showing him a diagram of the human skeleton. “First, I need to see how much you know about the human body. I’m going to point at a bone. Tell me its name.” I pointed. “Leg!” he said confidently. “Femur,” I corrected under my breath. I moved my finger lower. “Low femur!” he said. I groaned. “Tibia,” I said. “Fibula is on the other side.”
