He poured the memory of Kieran’s smile into his touch. For a moment, nothing happened. Then a faint silver light appeared on the bone. It was not green. It was pure and clear. One of the robed figures turned around. Cassian did not wait. He used his knife to pry a piece of the bone loose. A fragment the size of his arm broke off. It was heavy and glowed with silver light. The figure pointed at him. A silent shriek filled the air. Cassian ran. He sprinted back across the field with the bone against his chest. The silver glow made him an easy target.

"Really? Then it seems that only the King of Beasts hasn't appeared yet, has it?" Just as the Blood Bat King was about to continue speaking, a look of surprise appeared on his pale, colorless face as he suddenly glanced at the Bones King. "Hey, you seem to be injured?
