Alessia’s POV Deep within the depths of the Coven and far from the light and fresh air above ground is where I wait for the high Council to convene. The fires have finally been extinguished and the door to the street expertly fixed with magic from Celeste’s brazen escape. The protection and concealment spells have been recast over the entire Coven so we are once again safe in sanctuary. Once they have all arrived we stand in a large circle facing one another, everyone here with the same determination and twisted sense of purpose. The silence in the underground shrine is absolute. The smell of earth fills my nostrils, the air is damp and moist.

She rummaged through boxes filled with forgotten memories, her heart racing with anticipation. Her fingers brushed against a worn leather journal, its edges frayed and its cover adorned with a beautiful emblem—a symbol she recognized from the stories Aunt Cleo had told her about the coven. As she opened it, the musty scent enveloped her, and the words seemed to whisper secrets of a time long past.

She found herself walking out of her camp and heading towards the largest tent that was located in the center of the coven. She gulped as she tried to find the right amount of courage for her to go through with what she had to do. She didn't know where it was but a part of her told her that it would be down in the cellars. The cellars was the codename given to the largest store of books in the coven. It wasn't heavily guarded as Zoran liked to use it in order for him to finally be able to boost his ego. He didn't think that there was anyone that would have been stupud to dare try and mess with him.

As she’s about to leave the room, someone called. “Hey, I’m leaving the hotel. My car service is waiting,” she talked to the person on the other line. “I can’t wait to see you here. We’ve so much to see and talk about,” Noah said. Cela gave her room one final look. This is the place where she leaves her old self. “We wanted to go to a specific place and it didn’t matter if the road was rough and the journey was long. In the end, we found different places for ourselves but these places were the destinations where we were truly meant to go,” she said to herself. The fourth book begins at chapter 1 in Paris. A breeze stirs the wind chimes above, and for a moment, all I hear is wind and fruit flies humming. Then it comes, like the sudden chill of winter air sliding down my spine. He turns a page and quickly flips it again. “What?” “That one actually burned. It burned my fingers and my eyes. What the hell is on that one?” “It is coven locations. Clearly that is a bigger secret than the people in the covens.” I turn to the page marked with the spell to protect my practice area. “Can you read this? You are my bodyguard for this whole thing.” “Umm, yeah. I can. Is it weird that someone went through and put individual spells on pages and pieces of information?”

I had no idea how long he had been there. “Oh, I didn’t know you were there.” I said, and closed my book, setting it down on the couch next to me. He remained silent, just watching me… Like a predator watching his prey… It didn’t matter how long I was here, I felt that I would always feel that way when he watched me. He nodded to me to come to him, so I stood from the couch and walked over to him. “I have a few things I need to get done in my office for my coven meeting tomorrow. Join me.” He said, and then he turned around and started walking down the hallway.

When the coven purchased this home ten years ago, they kept the apartments separated, allowing each member to have a little semi-private space. The coven meets like this every night, coming home and joining together to make time to be with one another. In the communal kitchen and living space they brew concoctions, stir spells, and make food for each other. That living space, which also consists of a fully stocked library and a large dining room, is the heart of this house, a gathering place that reflects the positive joyful energy of the inhabitants.
