“They’re supposed to deliver it to me secretly. Thank you for delivering it straight to my room, by the way.” *PAKKKK!* I slammed my hand on the table. Bryan’s smirk faded. “HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!” He looked at me blankly. I threw him the purchase history I printed before coming here. It was a lot. He can’t deny it even if he tries. “You know that you’re not supposed to order something like that in secret. This is something the mob should know. It’s a dangerous weapon. More dangerous than guns. You know that!”

“ It’s not everyone that is presently close to you that you are to trust. Your enemy is closer than you think “ Mr Baker said and we nodded our heads in understanding. The first time he said I’ll be surprised when I find out who has been the one causing all these problems and now he was saying my enemies were closer to me than I thought. That means Mr. Baker was very sure of what he was saying. “ Our time is almost up. If you must communicate with me, text me through this number. It’s the number I use on my burner phone, it’s safe because a burner phone cannot be tracked and I’ll suggest you get one too “ Mr Baker said and gave me a piece of paper with a phone number written on it.

They stopped as they heard sounds coming from the other side of the garden. “She's over there,” Anna pointed. Samantha nodded and turned to the left side of the garden where Anna pointed. “Wait,” Anna called and she stopped abruptly. “I'm scared,” she said. “Why?” Samantha asked angrily. “She could be violent sometimes. You're carrying sir Ryker's baby and I wouldn't want Madam Kate to hurt you. She'll suffer immensely for it,” Anna explained thoughtfully. “She won't hurt me,” Samantha said with a wry smile.

I was here, in what’s considered the most dangerous city in the United States. If it weren’t for Kim, there’s no way I’d go through all this trouble, traveling so far just to fetch her damn documents. Damn her scatterbrain for always forgetting important stuff and dragging me into her personal courier service. Pulling my phone out of my bag, I dialed Kim’s number. I prayed she’d pick up quickly so that the incident that I won’t tell wouldn’t happen again like last time.

"Okay, I won't tell you." "Mona!" "What! I needed it to lure some unsuspecting fool, it's not like I'm doing it for fun!" I was absolutely doing it for fun, but she didn't need to know that. Most of the businessmen I work with ( blackmail) never dared approach me unless absolutely necessary. And if they had to, it was always through Desiree. So, ordering a bottle of whiskey in a room brimming with cocky, unsuspecting men was a surefire way to draw them in. There was nothing men loved more than a woman who acted like she could spit fire. Too bad for them, I actually did spit fire.

Her eyes were dark and sent chills down his spine. "O...OK, you can go but you have to take care of yourself properly." The doctor said as he himself was scared of her at this point and she nodded indicating a yes. The doctor was already doubtful that they were not normal people as her injuries were really severe and it was mostly gunshots but he didn’t think much of it as they showed their ids but now he was sure that they were dangerous people and he just wanted them to get out as soon as possible. "Okay, then I'll get the discharge papers ready." The doctor said and left the room. And the room was filled with silence again.

His voice was low and serious as he began to speak, his words filled with a mixture of concern and warning. "Camilla, I need you to understand the gravity of the situation we find ourselves in," Lucas said, his voice steady but filled with urgency. "These workers, this warehouse... it's all part of a dangerous operation involving drugs. If you ever lied to me, if you ever got involved in any way, the consequences could be dire." Camilla's heart pounded in her chest as she listened to Lucas's words. She had never imagined being caught up in something so dangerous. The realization hit her like a cold wave, making her feel small and trapped.

There is yet another ace we have hidden in our sleeves that Biden warned me about. "Think about it," he smirked at me, "you're a famous fighter, at the top of the chart. Do you even realize how much money you bring to this country? Let's face it, the british cops won't be a problem at all because the government knows how much money they would lose if you stopped being a boxer, it's the americans that are a problem but look, they don't have fingerprints, even if they find the shovel there's basically no way to connect it to the crime, and your word is worth much more that that of gang members. I'll take care of the gun in a few days. There is no way we'll lose this, trust me." Biden grins and

he began before taking a sip, "you're involved with dangerous people. There's Charles, his brothers, Jackson, Nathalie and God knows who else. At this point, nowhere is completely safe." "Your apartment doesn't look safe either." "Because of one Glock?" "Because of the sentence 'shoot anyone suspicious.'" He laughed again. "Fair enough." I watched him walk back toward the entrance. "So where are you going?" "Out." "That's not an answer." "It is." "It's vague." "It's intentional." I narrowed my eyes. "Can I come?" Damiano immediately shook his head. "No." "Why?" "Because." "Damiano." "What?" "That's not an answer."

Damien said, clutching both of my arms. "But you have to, don't you?" I teased him further. "Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to be involved in Mafia matters?" he asked seriously, letting out an exasperated sigh. I gave a gentle tilt of my head. "What are you talking about?" Damien asked softly. "It involves murder and kidnapping, and they are ruthless beings who kill without mercy, especially the bosses themselves, and I don't want you to see my dark side," Damien explained.
