But before they jammed, a heavy wind swept through, blowing off the fire which lighted the room.
My heart sank instantly, my blood running cold. An icy shiver ran down my spine as I made a slow turn. A sense of dread washed over me as I looked around, suddenly feeling like I was being watched.
Then, out of the corner of my eyes, a flicker of movement caught my eyes. My breath hung in my throat and I clenched my fist, ready to battle with a spirit.
“You’re dead,Elena. Stay dead,” I muttered. But what I thought was a figure standing in the dark didn’t speak , didn’t move. But I could feel its presence.I inched away, keeping my ears at alert.
