Book Lovers Summary Novels & Stories

“Come on, give me all the erotica you have. How else am I going to learn about these things? And if it’s a tragic, erotical romance. It’d be a chef kiss.” Izumi shook her head, “yeah. Yeah. Sure. Wait a minute.” I was left all alone in that enormous library with thousands of books. In the past, I never read a book, but I feel like I should read a little. I was definitely not reading erotica because Bea taught me those things in the brothel way too well. Maybe something related to our pack and its history. I strolled through the shelves, looking for a book title that could intrigue me. Most of the books were on the rules and history of formation of those rules which weren’t appealing at all.

“Looks like I’m not done surprising you yet. And yes. I can. My familiars can sense for spirits and can pull me back. But I need you to make sure nothing else tries to come after me.” Lucas’s jaw tenses. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” “Yes. I’ve been wanting to go look through the books for a while, actually. The Academy has an extensive library. It’s two-stories tall and has the most wonderful smell of old paper and fresh ink.” “It’s obvious why you own a bookstore.” “I do like books, though our store is full of mostly fiction. I love a good romance novel.” He runs his hand up and down my arm. “Why do you love romance novels so much?”

"Who said anything about small? I can do big talk. Deep talk. Whatever you want." He leaned forward slightly, voice low. "You're persistent." "Guilty." I swallowed, mouth suddenly dry. "Look, I know I'm probably reading this wrong, but... you come in here every day looking like you want to eat someone alive. And yeah, part of me wonders if that someone could be me." Silence stretched. Then Elias exhaled sharply. "You're not reading it wrong.” Holy shit. I stood up too fast, nearly knocking over his coffee. "Break room's in the back. Staff only. Five minutes?"

Something Liam recommended after asking him for books my mother must have read. It was filled with stories of queens who lost everything, kings who broke under the crown and kings who abdicated the throne and the constant war between packs. I turned the pages without really reading, constantly rubbing my eyes to soothe the ache in them. After hours of flipping through the pages in silence, the first noise came from the jangling keys of a librarian. She was leaving. She brought me a cup of tea and placed it by my side. “You’ve been here all day. Are you sure you won’t leave and return tomorrow?”

I can’t get invested in any way, especially not emotionally. “B-books,” I stammer. “It would be a terrible thing to have to do, to narrow it down to one, especially for a book lover like me Never ask a book lover what their favorite book is. You’ll be here eight hours later, listening to us going off on tangent after tangent, discussing the merits of just about every book that has ever been published since the dawn of time.” Mike laughs, a clear, deep, manly sound that is like a deep brook, and I’m the one diving in, in search of the bottom.

He was currently snoring. "I found a good book this morning but unfortunately it's not in braille. Mother read me the title and I'm very intrigued by it. But in my rush to get here I left it on the library table." Eva sighed in disappointment. "What was the title?" "Vampires and Their Beloveds" "I'm not Author but I'm pretty sure the book is based on Vampires and their beloveds." Alana snickered out. "Why do you insist on ruining things with your words?" Eva questioned in annoyance. If she knew how she would roll her eyes at her best friend. Not that it really mattered anyway.

And they're huge. The way the story ends in this book isn't complete, because Adonis and Bella get another book in the series. That book is the sixth, so I can't proceed with their story without finishing books 2, 3, 4 and 5, because the 6th book picks up from where Bella and Adonis's story left off in this book but continues through the story of the rest of the couples. And I simply don't want to ruin the surprises the other couples have to offer in the meantime.

I watch as she processes my words, her face going from scrunched and confused, to surprised until a wide smile splits across her face. "Are you serious?" she asks. I take the book from her hands and flip it open to the first sex scene and hand it back to her. I watch as her eyes flit across the page. As she reads, a pink flush spreads up her neck to her face until she looks up at me. "You read this whole book?" she asks, flipping through all of the pages. "Yep. Jack and I both did. And every week we go to book club to talk about it. The ladies have kind of taken an interest in us. Giving us some tips and things." I admit, feeling my face blush.

The story had been a great distraction so far, and at that moment, I needed it more than ever. I loved what read about Letum, the book's male lead—about how dark and obsessive and utterly consuming his love was. How his devotion was terrifying yet breathtaking at the same time. He was the kind of love that swallowed you whole, leaving nothing behind but the person he wanted you to be. I wondered what that would feel like.
