He had already noticed the way Bruce clutched something tightly against his chest.
"Wait. Don't move."
Bruce had a quick temper, and guilt made it worse. Heat rose to his head, and before he could stop himself, he snapped, "Just because you're the discipline leader doesn't mean you can boss me around!"
In his dramatic exit, he forgot about the thing he was hiding.
A small thud.
Something dropped to the floor.
Bruce froze. Wesley, unfazed, bent down and picked it up.
It was a practice workbook. Flipping through the pages, he found detailed notes and problem-solving steps, all meticulously marked up. At the top, scrawled in large, unmistakable handwriting, was my comment:
