Book Reader Job Novels & Stories

She was also hidden in my backpack when I applied for the job in the local library, I always had a weak spot for the books and stories, when they took me I couldn’t be happier. My job was easy and simple, just help people buying their stories, cash them out, put the books back in place and finally I can read as much as I want. It was the best kind of job for me, I loved it and I got paid weekly, enough to eat, after my first paycheck, I had spent a full week starving,

she greeted him in Chinese, and everyone looked at each other in surprise, including Seung-gi, who looked at her doubtfully as soon as she greeted him in his language, and smiled in satisfaction. Eva stood up and took out a small booklet she had organized by hand, she was one of those who said, if a project doesn't work out, show him the second option, but make him sign. "Yes, there are a lot of companies with reader apps, but do they think about the readers? No, most of these platforms require a payment for the authors, which of course many of them make a living from, but there are many books that don't know how to pay or don't have the possibility to pay," everyone looked at her expectantl

“If I could find a job that involved reading romance books we would be good to go. I just don’t like interacting with people too much to be honest with you. People make me nervous.” “You know I could get you a job doing that if you would be interested. I actually own a company that publishes books. We haven’t taken on romance books just yet, but if we had someone who would enjoy reading a whole lot of them everyday to see if they are worth publishing or not, we could add that on.” “What? You are joking right?”

I took it and sipped it a little bit. My eyes landed on the book that he's holding. He's reading my book? I turned to him completely shocked for a few seconds and I turned my attention to my coffee again. "You said you love reading right?" He asked. "I'm an editor, how can I not read?" I hissed coldly. "I recommend you to read this book. I bet you will change your mind about your perspective of men." He said as he put my own book in front of me. "I'm not interested." I said.

It was moments like these that reminded me why I loved working at the bookstore—the opportunity to connect with fellow book lovers and share in their passion for literature. "Hello there!" I greeted her warmly, my voice filled with genuine enthusiasm. "Welcome to our bookstore. How can I help you today?" The reader beamed at me, her excitement palpable as she held out the book for me to see. It was a couple who did everything they could just to be together but in the end, they did not accomplish it.

My eyes widened in shock and I slowly raised to look at him, asking, "What the hell are you talking about? How.... How could I read all these books?! I am here as Mr. Logan's personal assistant, not as some manager!" God! I never even read all these huge books in my college to get a degree. "There are only 20 books and you should finish them by tomorrow. There are other set books for the next day," He just informed me without answering my questions and just walked back to his seat. I stared at him with my big eyes, as I couldn't believe his words. "What the hell is wrong with you? Why should I read these?! As far as I have looked into this job, I am only supposed to inform him of the appoint

she thought for a minute before she responded. “I believe they are responsible for assisting the customers when they shop for a book. Uh. What else. Uhmm. They are also responsible for processing orders.” ‘Oh my God. I wasn’t prepared for this’ she said at the back of her mind. “That’s correct, Annika. Just to give you a full background. A bookstore clerk is responsible for performing a variety of duties relating to cash sales, credit card purchases, reordering, invoicing, stocking and pricing of merchandise in the bookstore; handles refunds for returned items and purchases used textbooks according to guidelines; does related work as required. Work requires considerable customer relations sk

"And... you're determined to prove her wrong using us? With all due respect, boss, reading eight books isn't possible. I promise if you'd agreed with her, it wouldn't have made you less charming." Katya nodded. "He's right." Well, maybe. "It doesn't matter anymore. The books are here already. So, get to work." Eric flipped through the pages with horrified eyes. "Boss, I haven't read a damn book since I was fifteen. There's a reason I don't teach for a living but specialize in ending lives. "You should get to work with this time, Eric. Trust me, you don't want to know the ending if I'm disappointed." I walked away.

What had come next had taken fifteen years to arrive. Don read the letter again. He saw, in the editor's words, something he had not anticipated. The editor had not simply been a professional facilitator of the books' publication. She had been a reader. Not a reader like the general audience — a reader inside the argument in a way that only the person closest to the making could be. She had read every draft of every book. She had written comments in the margins. She had called him when a section was not working and had said: "The argument is not here yet, but it is approaching." She had been the first reader of everything he had written for fifteen years.

“Except for the new Nesmir Christie book, they did.” “Darn it, that book is the one we need to boost our new membership drive.” Her boss sounded aggrieved. “We did get the new books by Devlin Geris and John Rood.” She held up a copy each of the two writers whom she considered among the best in the business. “Hm, I suppose those will have to do.” Hamby shrugged indifferently. “We could get them to do a reading here at the library...” Doris looked at her boss expectantly. “Or at least one of them, John Rood maybe... ”
