He stopped tapping my cheeks and looked at the man behind him, the man with blue eyes. “She’s a hunter Alarick,” silver guy nodded and looked at me again. “So, did you have a good sleep?” Alarick, the silver guy asked. I groaned and look the other way, just when I am about to close my eyes, Alarick, the silver guy, softly grabbed my chin and controlled it to look at him. Both of them seemed unfazed by my presence and I can only think of one thing; they’ve killed a lot of humans that an alive one doesn’t scare them at all.

All of them move aside when they see me to facilitate my entry. I take a deep breath, satisfied to find myself in an airlock where the sound of the outside is cut. All that can be heard is the sound of our shoes hitting the marble floor. "Signore Santo," an old man greets me. "Alvize," I answer coldly, walking towards a door where armed men are standing. I don't know why, but the satisfied attitude of this old man automatically puts my senses on alert. I immediately stop walking and turn around to face him:

“Good morning, Imani. How are you?” “Good morning, Dr. Hemsworth. I’m as good as I can be. I’m eager to finish the tests so I can be released.” “Wonderful,” he beamed, pushing a cart full of viles into the room. I cleared my throat at the rancid smell of humans that permeated the room. “Oh, my Goddess. What are in those bottles?” Imani asked, pinching her nose. “What does it smell like to you?” “That human at Eden that Judge Jackson killed.”

Unbeknownst to her, Ahil had intentionally turned off his phone. It was around 11 PM when he finally decided to leave the office. With his driver absent, he took the wheel himself, despite the recent accident. As he drove, Ahil reached for a cigarette, finding a semblance of solace in the smoke. Since Aakriti's betrayal, the cigarette had become a crutch for him, a coping mechanism for the emotional turmoil.
