Back to the Banquet

Back to the Banquet

Emily Larson's shrill voice echoed through the banquet hall. "This meatball dish is something I paid a fortune to learn from a master chef at a five-star hotel. It's a perfect harmony between meat and vegetables. The broth is rich and fragrant, and its plating exquisite. How could the clients possibly be unhappy?" Hearing that familiar voice of my nemesis, I snapped fully awake and realized that I had been reborn. Her voice drew the other colleagues, who quickly gathered around.

The Billionaire's Oasis

The Billionaire's Oasis

I smiled at them, but what they gave in return was looks of utter bewilderment. "Do you know her? Why is he with Sir Garren?" "I don't have any idea. Do you think she's his wife?" The gossip from the two maids didn't escape my ears as we walked past them. How did they even get that idea? Garren and I were not even walking side by side. I ignored them for my peace of mind. We walked through a long outside aisle before we reached a circular path where a fountain is standing in the middle. On top of it is a marble statue of a man holding a sword.

Beneath the Boardroom

Beneath the Boardroom

“But begging for his forgiveness means accepting that he is remarrying and will be replacing my mother.” Sophia sighed wearily. “Don't you want him to be happy again?” “And what about me?” “Desiree…” “Thanks for the ride.” Desiree abruptly ended the conversation. “I'll see you later.” Desiree stepped out of Sophia's car and walked across the street. She paused, taking a deep breath as she stood in front of the massive building of Rothschild Group of Industries, located in one of the most expensive and industrial areas of the city. With most of its exterior made of glass, this gray building outshone the surrounding structures.

Book 3# - A desperate wish

Book 3# - A desperate wish

Midnight Neko and I softly stepped towards the entrance of the cave entrance – my second hide away spot that is now occupied by four special individuals. I hear the silent snores of them – poor things must be so tired from all that running. “Neko…fetch…” I whisper to my trusted friend , and he instantly agrees. He enters the cave , a place that I can not see in as their once burning fire is now dim and soon to go off. I hope he is able to retrieve her with out making a drama – and just as I thought it , I hear a loud growl.

Fated To My Twin Brother

Fated To My Twin Brother

She didn't know if she'd ever get back. As they began the walk back home, Sonia made a final detour, steering Hannah down a deserted street flanked by tiny shops. One store in particular caught her eye—an old-fashioned, dusty little bookstore, its shelves as history-steeped as their own, warm light spilling through the windows. "Do you want to have a look?" Sonia asked, noticing the way Hannah lingered on the bookstore.

Luna of the Menae

Luna of the Menae

There is no mate bond, but having him close makes me feel more secure. “I can’t wait for you to see this.” He rubs his thumb on the top of my hand as he leads me to a store. It’s rare Bronx gets so excited about surprising me. We approach a bookstore with a dusty, old window display. In gold paint, there is a picture of a pan flute and a goat. The images are peeling and sundried as if they’ve been there forever. Over the pictures are the words ‘The Barded Goat Used & Collectible Books’.

I am so glad we get for of Kas and Bronx and all their friends. The storytelling is exciting and the characters are complex and evolving. There is quite a cast of characters but the author does an amazing job of introducing them and only including necessary information so that you are not confused.

What a cliffhanger. You are an amazing writer. The series would make a highly rated movie. I would love it, only if they would let Neener Beener write the script. Others commented on the research and it's amazing. Does anyone know if this series is available in paperback? I need to buy 6 books.......

Charmer Widower's Boss

Charmer Widower's Boss

Seeing their special relationship, William's heart filled with gratitude. They walked hand in hand, with an excited Ishak sharing his plan to find interesting animal books. Juliana smiled listening to Ishak's stories, appreciating his boundless curiosity. When they reached the bookstore's entrance, the sound of a bell resounded softly. They entered the shop filled with the inviting scent of paper and pages. The light from inside the store illuminated the neatly lined bookshelves, catching their attention especially Ishak. They walked hand in hand inside the bookstore, pacing slowly between the shelves filled with a wealth of knowledge. Ishak eagerly browsed through every book that tickled hi

HIS SECRET ADDICTION

HIS SECRET ADDICTION

"He didn't know what to do with that." "Neither do I, honestly." "You did it anyway. That counts." After lunch we walked. No destination, no particular direction. Through the Village, down toward the river, back up through Chelsea. He put his hand in mine somewhere around Fourteenth Street and neither of us made a thing of it. Just two people walking in the city on a cold November afternoon. He stopped in front of a bookshop on Twentieth. "Come on," he said. Inside was narrow and warm and smelled like old paper. The owner barely looked up. Alex moved through the shelves with the same focused energy he brought to everything, pulling books out, reading back covers, putting them back or tucking

THE SHADOW BRIDE

THE SHADOW BRIDE

It’s like the world knows I’m stepping into something I can’t turn back from. The address Ruth gave me was vague, just a name and a description: “spiritualist bookstore.” I’m starting to feel the weight of the whole town on my shoulders as I drive deeper into the hollow. A few houses are scattered along the road, their roofs caved in, yards overrun with wild grass. A sign for the bookstore creaks in the wind, half-buried under ivy. It’s almost too perfect.
