Who to Love

Who to Love

I was thinking too deep that I know is not healthy anymore. I looked at Harold and saw him looking at me with pure concern. I know that he still feels upset about this lunch setup. I know that he didn’t mean for this lunch to be like this. “I was just thinking about a scene in my next book. If I’ve written it well.” I smiled and lied. Lying has been my hobby for the past few months. How many times have I insisted that I am fine when in fact, I’m broken? I can’t even count how many.

Mated to my Ex's Lycan King Dad

Mated to my Ex's Lycan King Dad

There were other ways to bring those who had wronged us to justice. “How much of business is tricking people?” “A lot.” “Maybe I’m not cut out for this.” “I don’t think that’s true. Everything is a negotiation. All negotiations require a little deception and manipulation to achieve one's goals. You played along well, and look where it got you?” I sighed. “I just don’t want to lie all the time.”

one of the most intriguing storylines I've read (and I read A LOT). I like the different takes on the mythos & the plot twists. I also appreciate that Grace is being forced to grow. ...It also helps that Charles is extremely sexy, both the loving provider & the badass warrior alpha king sides of him

I have just at the end of the book, or at least what is ready so far. This is a captivating novel, loads of unexpected turns, interesting characters and exciting story. This is the best book I have read on this genre so far! I hope it will not only develop by chapters and don't have to wait too long

Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

"What do you mean?" "When a person lies too often, it becomes impossible for others to discern the truth," Andrew explained. "Take my supposed weakness, for example. You never know when I might die. The first time I fell seriously ill, you believed me. But it was all a show. The second time, you were suspicious. After observing me, you concluded I was acting again, only to find out it was another layer of deception. By the third time, I played a smaller trick to convince you I was truly on the brink of death. You trusted me once more, only to discover I was orchestrating something far greater. Each time, you couldn't fully grasp my intentions. This blend of truth and lies will confuse your e

I really like this book but why is it being dragged so much? Debra keeps getting herself in weird situations like the Island kidnapping and then her engagement kidnapping. I get the authors are paid by pages but if it’s too dragged then the readers eventually lose interest and move to finished books

The Law And The Liar

The Law And The Liar

“No. Because I’m tired. Because the people in that book would kill us both to keep their secrets. And because, believe it or not, I’m not interested in dying in a gutter while someone like Rowen keeps his pension.” I held his gaze, trying to find the lie. There wasn’t one. “You think this is enough to bring them down?” “With you? Yes,” he said simply. “You’re the only one who doesn’t flinch when the truth gets ugly.” I looked down at the ledger again. The names in it were rot disguised as law, corruption dressed up in uniforms and robes. This wasn’t just evidence. It was a warhead. “If I take this,” I said, voice low, “you and I—”

The Game of Truth and Lies

The Game of Truth and Lies

And above all… do your best to speak only truth, or the Game will know. Lies are the currency of the damned. ] Farrah took a deep breath as she carefully read the rules. This was her lifeline after all. She had basically just died from the car accident, and she didn’t want to die again. If there was a chance of survival, she might as well cling to it. Still, she couldn’t help but feel nervous. This simply felt too unreal. “This is insane…” she whispered. “It’s a nightmare. It has to be.”

The Billionaire Deceptions

The Billionaire Deceptions

“No, Jack, it was never supposed to be like this! We… we didn’t mean for it to go this far!” Jack laughed so hard and then smirked “Oh, I bet it wasn’t. But guess what? It’s too late now. You made your bed, and now you’re going to lie in it.” I stood, crossing my arms as I watched the scene unfold, feeling a deep sense of satisfaction as their lies unraveled before them. This was what they deserved….the weight of their sins finally crushing them. “We know everything,” I added, my voice cutting through the tension. “Your lies, your schemes, everything you did to keep control. You’re nothing but murderers who destroyed your own family, and now it’s all catching up to you.”

Love and deceit

Love and deceit

This wasn’t just shock—this was betrayal, curling around her like a vice. “We were never meant to have a choice, were we?” she murmured, her voice eerily calm. I clenched my jaw. “No.” Our engagement, our so-called arranged marriage, hadn’t been about tradition. It hadn’t even been about business. It had been about control. The Sinclair and Sterling empires were built on more than just wealth—they were built on a foundation of lies, deals made in shadows, and blood debts passed down like an inheritance. Aurora flipped through another page, scanning the words before exhaling sharply. “This—this document isn’t just a business contract. This is a goddamn blood oath.”

Under the Weight of Deception

Under the Weight of Deception

It came from the weight of the unspoken. From that handwritten note left on his desk: Who else accessed this file? From the strange symphony of errors that seemed in tune—but fell out of key when you truly listened. Victoria showed up in too many corners of those failures. Not signing. Not speaking. Just present. Watching. Suggestive. Serene. And that—that was the unsettling part. Because Benjamín understood strategy. He knew manipulation when he saw it. And what he was seeing wasn’t random. It was design.

Love, lies and, secrets

Love, lies and, secrets

I replied with a shrug. "Let's just say that I'm curious because I'm bored and also because anybody could be interested in hearing how two lovers met and since I don't have anything else that I'm doing with my time, I just want to listen to a story about how you met him. So, will you tell me or are you going to ask me to mind my business?" I asked. I desperately wanted her to tell me the truth but I'm not expecting her to be completely honest with me because it would make it obvious that their story wasn't exactly normal but I still wanted to hear her say something because I believe that in every lie, there's always an iota of truth.
