LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR Good day, It had been quite a roller coaster ride for everyone, for me, and all the readers who silently watched over me as I continued to write the first book of my first series, A Woman’s Worth. It was quite a blast writing this book. This one had started in 2018 and had been on hiatus with only 10 chapters published for the year 2018-2020. I had even forgotten about this one and the concept and plot was a little different before. But now after thinking things through, I picked it up once again on November 11, 2020 and started writing it from the beginning till the end. I experienced writer’s block 4 times while writing this.

The thought made her pulse quicken, like she was holding a secret that wasn’t meant to be found. She hesitated only a moment before sitting cross-legged on the floor and flipping the cover open. Inside, in messy handwriting, was a title scrawled across the first page: “Collected Stories — From Women, For Women.” Chloe blinked. The handwriting was feminine, rushed, and almost secretive. She turned the page and read the introduction, scrawled in looping letters:

A girl asked behind Imogen. "I was just looking around" She answered. "Alright, take your time, miss" The girl smiled and left. Imogen wandered around the bookstore, looking at every shelf for a book to read until her eyes found one. "Longing For A Woman" She called out and reached for it, but a voice stopped her and took it before she could. "Longing For A Woman, written by Emma stones, is a story that tells the tale of two women falling in love and parting," A man said while Imogen moves back, a bit uncomfortable.

It's about testimony. Instead, I'm reading at the foundation. Thirty women. That's who's here. Thirty women who have survived something. Who have made it to the other side of something that tried to break them. Who understand that a book like this isn't entertainment. It's witness. It's proof that the thing that happened to you doesn't have to be the final word on who you are.

I asked as I slid into my seat. “Not yet,” she laughed. “Which one is this book? Another werewolf mate at first sight then rejected?” I giggled. “Don’t knock my rejection novels!” Rose glared at me, but it was without heat. “How come the wolf that gets rejected is either female or gay? Why can’t the female reject the male first?” I asked. She shrugged. “Probably because they’re mostly written by women who’ve experienced rejection in real life, and they write their dreams of becoming powerful.”

"You definitely achieved that," she said. "I have to admit, I was a bit surprised by the content of your book. I didn't expect it to be so... personal." I smiled, feeling a sense of relief and liberation. "I know it's not always easy to share our personal stories," I said. "But I believe that's where the real power lies. When we share our stories, we connect with others on a deeper level. We build bridges and we foster understanding and empathy."
