Little me was in desperate need for love and affection, she was praying Kennedy and Robert would be a mommy and daddy. Finally came the cake, it was a chocolate cake, what little would say no to a chocolate cake, I had a generous slice that I devoured happily. Next was opening of presents for Robert he had some good ones and others he just closed back the box and gave his friends the third finger making me giggle. I stayed silent watching him open all his gifts giving thanks to each one for the none offending ones, lastly was Kennedy’s gift, it was the book she got from my job. He must he a bookworm like me. My little side wanted him to read me bed time stories.

The most recent date was sometime in May, 1935—almost eighty years ago! Leesa looked at the back cover and saw the familiar barcode sticker libraries used now to keep track of books, but she doubted this one had ever been used to check the book out. She shoved the book back onto the shelf. Cali grabbed Leesa’s hand. “C’mon.” She took Leesa down a couple of different aisles, making what seemed like several random turns. The place was almost like a maze, and Leesa wondered how Cali knew where she was going. Leesa doubted Cali had ever come up here to study—she wasn’t exactly the studious type—and there was no way she could have needed any of these old books. So what had she been doing up here?
