The Alpha's Secret Witch

The Alpha's Secret Witch

Her movements were precise and her focus was sharp. "Where are these going?" she asked. "The shelf." "Which shelf?" "The one by the window." Tasha carried the books to the shelf and arranged them in a neat row. The spines were straight and the colors were coordinated and the sight was satisfying. "That is beautiful," I said. "That is basic." "That is beautiful." Tasha shrugged and her silver eyes were soft. "You need more shelves." "I need more everything." "Same thing." Benita arrived with a tray of tea and a plate of biscuits. Her brown eyes were bright and her smile was warm.

The Goddess Warrior

The Goddess Warrior

The air smelled faintly of old parchment and polished wood, a rich, comforting scent that spoke of history and knowledge. Rows upon rows of bookshelves stretched toward the ceiling, filled with ancient tomes, modern texts, and carefully preserved manuscripts. Some shelves displayed artifacts behind locked glass cases—ornate relics, weapons, and strange objects that seemed to hum with unseen energy. Soft light from overhead fixtures cast a warm glow, illuminating the objects and creating dancing shadows between the stacks.

Finding Him

Finding Him

The only splashes of colour were my red comforter that lay across the bottom of my bed on top of black and white sheets and pillows and a few red scatter cushions. The absolute best part of the room was my bookshelf. It was an oak log that went from the floor to the ceiling with four corner shelves built around it. The shelves were stacked with books, a couple of decorative candles and a couple of stuffed toys. Beside it was and oversized bean bag chair that was so comfortable I could fall asleep in it while reading. "Not that I'm not happy to see you but why are you here?", I asked him. Brodie had moved over to examine the bookshelf and the titles it housed.

Being a Half-Blood For Real

Being a Half-Blood For Real

It was huge, almost the size of a library, definitely not a bookstall. There were only a few people running their eyes through the shelves for a perfect one to read. Karthik gestured for me to go on and choose which I gladly did, my steps bouncing a little with excitement. They had hung boards above each different categories making it easier to distinguish and identify which is which. My eyes traveled through each of them before stopping on my favorite one. Adventure/Action I strode towards the said section and searched for a certain series. No one was present and I had all the time choosing and deciding what I wanted.

Chosen Mate

Chosen Mate

Inhaling deeply, my eyes widened as they lowered from the bell, as I smell a familiar scent I’d recognize anywhere. My eyes rolled into the back of my head as I stop in my tracks. Shane stops, and when I open my eyes, they lock on something at the end of the room. I lift my chin, and my gaze travels up, up, up the tall bookshelf. Grazing over the beautiful real wood shelving, natural aesthetics, plants, and rows of books. A bookstore. Shane dragged me into a bookstore.

The Alpha King's Mate

The Alpha King's Mate

‘I’d like that very much. We start with the library, where there are books, some are many centuries old, in glass stands. I’ve never seen a book or so many books before. The ceiling is twenty-foot high, and the second level, which is also lined with bookshelves, is secured by a polished, mahogany balustrade that edges around the whole rectangle room. Both levels have six sculpted mahogany columns, spaced apart evenly, with perfect architectural precision. Against the bookshelves are several wooden ladders on wheels, and it seems these, too, have been spaced apart at exact intervals.

Blood and spells

Blood and spells

The building of the book store is in a state of ruins; a huge dilapidated mess with growing moss as the ornamental plant that designed the walls, making it a beautiful decayed mess. Cass led me forward and opened the entrance door to let me in first, I gave him a polite smile in response and stepped in. The inside is like a wall of ancient volumes, the bookshelves looked surprisingly strong and had the capability to hold a hundred books and more. The woods looked like it was carved by a profound lover of literature.

Her Four Possessive Wolves

Her Four Possessive Wolves

Bright and comfortable. I had entered the library, Ozias trailing behind me. Books lay atop almost every open surface. Stacks of them were lined within the walls. Several others just stood as end tables. Between it all stood Albert, with his balding white hair. Frustrated with the lack of book shelving places, he cursed beneath his breath. Organizing such a mess would prove close to impossible if not given more space.

Great story & characters, & absolutely loved the style of writing - broken/fragmented sentences that drive action & thoughts, so unique! Wish I wasn't left asking about some open-ended plotlines (Desert Sun, king's heirs, Felix, Albert & Mariposa, etc.), but assuming sequel books will address them?

Get Out Of My Way, Devilish Duke!

Get Out Of My Way, Devilish Duke!

When I asked the butler, he said there were more than a thousand books in a two-story facility. My hand shuffled the books on one shelf at the left corner of the room and only stopped with a purple light glimmered to a part that evoked my eyes. Since they placed it on the 1st tier of the 10 feet bookshelf, a ladder for someone like me was a must. I grinned when the purple leather book with a gold gilded frame on its sides landed on my hands. They decorated the center with the Daria Empire’s Griffin logo carved from amber, plus the golden clasp added to its vintage aesthetic.
