Light & Darkness: Book 1

Light & Darkness: Book 1

For now, she didn't even want to wonder what would happen if aunt Margareth finds out about her feelings. Selene stretched first, then slowly dragged herself off the bed, her eyes immediately fixed on the Book of Magic that was lying down on the desk, the one she had gotten from aunt Meredith yesterday. Selene took it gently in her hands and sat on the edge of the bed, setting the bulky volume on her lap, and flipped through the book several times. Afer the fourth time she stopped at a page that showed a portrait of a man with ebony, half-length hair, in a long black coat... The face itself seemed familiar at once, but when Selene saw his eyes - dark and captivating like two black holes, she

Hours passed, and the weight of the task grew heavier. "I found something," Elena said suddenly, holding up a thick, leather-bound book. She placed it on the table, dust flying up as she opened it to a page with strange symbols and faded writing. "It’s talking about an ancient force—something older than the werewolves, older than any magic we know." Lucas leaned in, his eyes narrowing as he read the text. "The Darkness Beyond... It says it’s a force that can consume entire worlds if it’s awakened."

Beyond the Rub (Tales of a masseuse)

Beyond the Rub (Tales of a masseuse)

Something happened tonight," I whispered urgently. Alex's expression turned inquisitive, and he nodded. "What's going on?" he asked, his voice low and concerned. I took a deep breath, preparing to unfold the tangled threads of my encounter with Christy and the emotions Natalie had awakened within me. "Yeah, what... DID?" Alex emphasized, his voice laced with curiosity. His gaze drifted away, fixated on a captivating figure across the room. I followed his line of sight, and my heart skipped a beat. Christiana stood poised, radiant in a stunning green lace dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. The garment shimmered under the light, accentuating her beauty.

After Dark: A Collection of Forbidden Encounters

After Dark: A Collection of Forbidden Encounters

Just kept reading, his expensive pen making notes in the margins. Eve cleared her throat. "Dr. Murphy? I'm Eve Carter. From your Advanced Literary Theory class." "I know who you are, Miss Carter." He still didn't look up. "You're failing." The blunt statement hit like a slap. "That's... that's why I'm here. I need to pass this class to graduate. I was hoping....." "Hoping what?" Now he looked up, and the intensity of his gaze made Eve's breath catch. He was in his late forties, distinguished, with the kind of cold intelligence that intimidated most students. "Hoping I'd give you special treatment? Extra credit? A sympathy pass?"

Dead of Night

Dead of Night(My Forbidden Vampire)

“Looks like I’m not done surprising you yet. And yes. I can. My familiars can sense for spirits and can pull me back. But I need you to make sure nothing else tries to come after me.” Lucas’s jaw tenses. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” “Yes. I’ve been wanting to go look through the books for a while, actually. The Academy has an extensive library. It’s two-stories tall and has the most wonderful smell of old paper and fresh ink.” “It’s obvious why you own a bookstore.” “I do like books, though our store is full of mostly fiction. I love a good romance novel.” He runs his hand up and down my arm. “Why do you love romance novels so much?”

The Transcendent Zombie System

Lucas looked at Fanny, puzzled, and said, “Are you misunderstanding something?” Fanny did not know how she should answer it. An hour had passed! No one could escape the fate of life, including Lucas. After that hour, Fanny’s face was still so red like a ripened apple. “Let’s go.” Lucas was being carefree and said to Fanny while looking at her. After both of them had finished preparing their luggage, they then headed toward Dark Academy. The Dark Academy was located at the borders of the Crime World and Evil World.

I genuinely love this book, only problems I have with it is the fact that he never actually travels with the people he gets to join him (hattie Mia etc) I wish there were more interaction between them all. second is that there are only 2 or so chapters a day....I have plenty of coins to waste...

I believe no updates is due to the platform not the authors themselves. Many of the books I’m reading are not updated as well. It is possible the authors are not able to upload their chapters on the platform

The Dark Prince

The Dark Prince

"You know, sometimes irrelevant things pop up out of nowhere at some point in our lives and we get confused thinking we need them when we don't, normally, it is just the regular trash we toss." "Are you perhaps saying..." "Oh, you don't relate?" She cut her off before she could complete her words. "Maybe you lay amidst them so much you now consider yourself one of them. Bunch of Garbage." Sasha scoffed. "Where are your manners, Serenity?" Kathryn scolded. "In Chadwick Howard's pocket, I guess." Sasha chipped in with a devilish glare and Serenity grinned from the side of her lips. Anyone could see from mars that the battle line had been drawn and they were about to go to war.

Blood and Darkness

I'm not hungry either so I don't go to the cafeteria on a trip. I go to the table often. I put down the book and put the chocolate on the side. My bag is full so I can't get in it. I sighed and opened my book. Just that, I was distracted by a bit of noise. I looked up and saw a group of college students. I quickly spotted Rustov on the group. Kiara was on her side, smiling while talking to him. My forehead creased. Why are they here? The high school library is different from the college. Maybe it's noisy there so they're here to talk properly.

A Dorm With My Alpha Mate

The library If malrick used magic to break us there had to be a counter a cure a way to stitch the severed thread the archives were deep beneath the academy a cavern of dust and forgotten knowledge. I descended into the cold dark the silence here was different it was old it held no expectation of life only the slow decay of paper and memory I lit a lamp the flame a tiny struggling heart in the vast gloom.
