Booktok Store Novels & Stories

“Reading definitely isn’t my thing.” “Your loss.” No more words were spoken as Alex grabbed a few more non-LGBTQ themed books and headed to the counter. With Seb behind him, he paid and left the bookstore with a bag filled with enough books to last him the semester. They hit the interior decor store next and it being only few blocks from the book store, they walked to it. Alex roamed the shop with Seb giving unsolicited advice on what to get and what to not get. Not taking most of his advice, he shopped and stepped out feeling content with the new wallpaper, bed lamp and bulbs he bought.

When they were out of the main drinking area, where the nightclubs and bars were located, Lucas allowed himself a small, satisfied smile. Ema would be pleased. After weeks of failure, they were positive that they would receive exactly what they had been looking for. Astor followed the smell to a little, independent bookshop nestled in between a thrift store and a vegan café. Over the door was a sign that proclaimed ‘Bookmark Haven’ in finely chipped gold paint. Indeed, the bookstore was closed, and all the windows in it were blind, but Lucas was convinced the individuals were still alive in the building.

I pushed his shoulder playfully. ‘Oh please, you slept there once I think’. Finishing up our meal we carefully packed up the leftover food into the bag. Sasha took my hand in his and we made our way down the busy street. I looked all around me as we walked trying to figure out where he was bringing me when he stopped in front of an old bookshop. Pointing up to a beige sign above a green storefront that read ‘Shakespeare and Company’. I excitedly asked Sasha to take my photo in front of the store so that I could immediately upload it to my facebook page. I browsed the thousands of books upon the shelves losing track of time and of Sasha. I browsed the same aisles several times seeing new book

They all stood in front of Novelty, the book store that had been converted into a small book cafe with scrumptious cakes on display. Hazel's hands were flat against the store window, her face was busy looking at the cakes making Gage chuckle and he grabbed Bree's hands in his. "Come on, Bree, we're not letting her drool in front of a window store."

Monica was going to use that chance to make a lot of money, but then, he knew that it wasn't the time now and what he should do at this moment was to learn more about this world since there might be some difference and something development might be different from the timeline of his original world. Monica looked around until he walked toward one of the staffs of the bookstore. "Excuse me, do you have a book about law and taxes here?" "Ah, yes, if it is about law and taxes, it is over there, please follow me." Monica followed the staff and walked toward the section of law and taxes. He had to admit that Ginokuniya Bookstore was a very great bookstore and based on his understanding it should

“I’m opening a bookstore.” Silence dropped over the room like a heavy blanket then Ruth burst out laughing so hard she nearly choked. “A bookstore,” she repeated. “In this town?” “Yes,” he said proudly. “Right on Main Street. Small, cozy, lots of used books, local writers, coffee in the corner and comfy chairs the whole thing.” I stared at him, stunned. “You already did this?” I asked. He shrugged. “I put a deposit down before I came back I didn’t want you talking me out of it.”

I accepted Annelise's invitation and visited her at her work at the mall. She used her amazing and long lunch time to show me her favorite stores, including a bookstore whose shelves reached two floors of the building, and the characteristic smell of new and never used books filled the entire environment. I myself was strongly influenced by the unique atmosphere that a library or bookstore can offer, and I ended up buying half my salary of books that would require a lot of strength from my arms to carry them. Also inside the bookstore I was introduced to one of her best friends, Zylah, a very thin and tall girl, with dark blonde hair and green eyes, and the only attendant in the whole store.

I watched the five teenagers walk away and enter a phone store. We entered the bookstore and checked out some books, looking at the faces of the people entering and leaving the store. "Do you want to buy a book? Pick as many as you can, I will buy them for you," he offered. I looked at him, wanting to know if he was serious about his offer. I forgot to bring my wallet and phone. "I will buy two books," I said to humor him. "Go ahead," he said. I went to the romance section book and picked up two books, a fantasy book and a romance thriller book. I read the interesting synopsis, flipped through the pages. I like the glossy cover.

I carefully stepped into the shop and greeted by an old man in his sixties. "Morning, I'm Marissa Henderson. I'm here to meet with Mr. Archibald Michaels?" "Ah...there you are, come in Ms. Henderson. Call me Archie, welcome to "Novelty", my little bookstore. I didn't know why you answer my opening, but you seem too lovely to tend to this old bookstore. Come sit down and we will have some tea." He ushered me to a window seating, the place was nice. "Oh, thank you. And call me Marissa please." I followed him.

Elena arrived in Yewton. The city was unfamiliar, but that unfamiliarity gave her a sense of security she hadn't felt in years. After spending half a month surveying locations carefully, she rented a storefront on a quiet street in the older part of town and opened a small bookstore called "Books by Elena". The store wasn't too spacious, but it had excellent natural lighting. She spent three months renovating it, transforming the once-worn interior into a warm and inviting reading space.
