Then, a soft scoff came from the doorway, snapping me back to reality. I turned around. Willow was leaning against the doorframe, and Autumn stood beside her, looking utterly confused. I gave an awkward smile. “Autumn, I’ll walk you back.” Willow coaxed the little girl gently. I sat on the edge of the bed, bored, waiting for her to return after sending Autumn back.

“Since you’re back, are you going to pick the next book?” I blinked. “Me?” “Of course,” she said, smiling. “You’ve been gone. You deserve the honor.” Everyone nodded expectantly. I looked down at the stack of books on the table, my fingers brushing across their covers. My hand paused on a novel about love, identity and societal expectations. This book will give them a glimpse of what I passed through during my absence. I smiled softly. “How about this one?” Brent groaned. “Oh no, not another depressing tragedy. Can’t we read something with a hopeful romance?”

Summer picked up the book she left in the living room and she walked back to the kitchen to sit with Spring, as Ruby made lunch. She would be going out soon because it was her birthday tomorrow, and she was planning to get some things to prepare for it. “Stop pulling that, Spring. Leave your sister alone.” She said when she saw Spring pulling at Summer’s book. He loved to pick on her sometimes like that, but she was always there to stop him. Spring laughed. "I was just messing with her, but she's a crybaby.” He said as Summer’s eyes started to water with tears.

Mitch had pulled out and rolled off of her to check the text messages that had piled up in the last half hour or so and she let out a sigh as he nodded and returned to her side. One strong hand slid up the length of her torso to cup a breast and she shivered in delight. Only moments ago, he had all but had her screaming the house down in pure ecstasy during a sultry, hard and fast tumble in the bed while they waited for Jessie and Jacob to decide where they wanted to go that night. “‘Fraid so. We’re all booked for Cuvee tonight.” “Leave it to Jessie to pick a wine bar when she can’t even drink,” she giggled softly.

"For meeting? How long?" "Ren, I'm thinking of bringing you with me." He stopped scrolling, halting in the middle of a digital book he saved to read. "Sure. How long?" She went silent for a while. "For summer. I have meetings to do at home. Most of them couldn't come to Canada and Japan seems to be our main place." "Okay. I'll tell Noah." "Preliminaries start in summer in Japan. If we are unable to attend, you can stay a little longer to see the start of the Spring Tournament."
