“The Miami project has been losing money for three months. I will go there and fix it.” In my past life, my father took the trust fund my mother left me, and all of it ended up in Seraphina's pocket. When things got bad, I asked her for fifty thousand dollars. She laughed and transferred thirty thousand with a note that said her sister loved her. I learned my lesson, and I refused to make the same mistake again.

I had looked at him across the clearing and thought, with total stupid certainty, that everything was about to make sense. Then he opened his mouth. Let me tell you what I came here expecting tonight. I am Seraphine Ashwood, the Delta's daughter of Ironveil pack. Born and raised, mid-district, nothing about me that has ever suggested extraordinary. I turned twenty today. Tonight was supposed to be the night I shifted into something mid-rank and respectable, found out who the Moon Goddess decided was mine, and started the quiet ordinary life I had been planning for years. That was the plan. It had always been the plan.

My eyes opened to the sight of my eight-year-old daughter Aaliyah standing in front of me with her big bright brown eyes. As soon as I woke up I knew I didn’t avoid getting a killer hangover. Not only that but I was pretty sure I was still a bit drunk. No doubt I went… a little overboard at my friend’s party last night and I couldn’t remember much of how it ended. I got an idea as my eyes slowly shifted from my daughter to the other side of my bed. Strategically I pulled one of the blankets over the head of my one-night stand.

I felt energized a little by my wolf, and we got there in less than 2 hours. I desperately wanted to see my family, but I chose not to go there first. I didn't need anyone to tell me the mockery and scorn I'd face if I visited the pack mansion where they lived. At the pack’s gate, I encountered big and burly men whom I'd never seen before. They seemed oblivious when I mentioned being Alpha Williams' daughter. Didn't they recognize their Alpha anymore? After pleading extensively and assuring them I wasn't a spy, they reluctantly let me in.

Since Eine stared at her with so much interest, Delta flattened her lips and whispered, “I… I’m sorry. Your Daddy… is actually a bad guy. He’s the reason why we’re leaving places. He’s the reason why Wolfie gets hurt sometimes.” When she spoke, she couldn’t help but hold her daughter’s wrists. If Eine decided to run away and hate her, she could only wish they would still want to stay with Wolfie. That way, they would still be safe from harm… from death. As for her, she could float with the House of Ra. At the girl’s silence, Delta just had to look up at her daughter’s eyes. She stared straight at Eine’s almost crying face. Her mouth opened, but Eine spoke first.

I had expected to hear him beg me to stay for Milton, but he was suggesting quite the opposite of what I had in mind. “What if he doesn't?” I asked, genuinely scared that this might not work. Adam smiled, a warm reassurance beaming on his face. “Milton isn't stupid. He'll come to his senses. Right now, you need to focus on who you are, Daciana.” He stopped pacing around the pool for a moment and stared long and hard at me. “Frost Demon or not,” he began. “You're the Alpha's Daughter, Daciana. Don't ever forget who you are.”

Alexander: I think so… listen, it's new for her too, having visions, but I think we're going to find out there's a very potent poison in this water. Josh: Alpha Drake, your daughter, my Luna, she's really powerful… Drake chuckled softly. Drake: Son… my daughter has chosen you as her brother, so you're now my son. Call me Dada too. Josh smiled gratefully at Drake. Josh: So, Dada, Evy is very powerful… I'm only just beginning to feel her within me, the connection is forming. But she'll be safe with me, I promise you both. When we arrived home, she opened her eyes and looked around in confusion.

Alpha Xander shakes their hands as he greets them before turning to introduce Luna Leslie and us girls, “This is my lovely mate Luna Leslie, our daughter Marci, Beta Marcus’s daughter, Callie, and Gamma Dave’s daughter, Celeste.” That was our cue to look into their eyes and shake their hands. When I glared into Alpha Callen’s eyes, I instantly felt a pit sink into my stomach. It wasn’t a good feeling either. My wolf, Bree, I knew from that was nervous. He was making her nervous.

"That's it. I've tried but they won't help me. Going to them has almost gotten me killed. I've been a part of the Delta group since I was a baby. My parents gave me away as part of some sick bet. For all my life they have abused me, and used me, taken advantage of me in so many ways. And I just... I just need to get out. But it's so hard. They have control over so many people. I went to find you because I know that the Fraisers are the only people who can defeat Delta. Please, you have to help me." It seems that recently Aurora had been hearing people's sob stories. Why had Delta become such a big deal these days? They have such an inferiority complex that they want to overtake the Fraisers

she replied while staring at him with resolute eyes. “I see,” the Delta turned to face Alpha Austin with eyebrows cocked, “This is the daughter you raised?” The Alpha King sheepishly laughed, “Hahaha! Don't mind her. She's just joking, right Alvina?” Alvina nodded. If she didn't agree, he wouldn't mind asking the Delta to hurt her. “Delta Johnson,” she chuckled, “I was just pulling your leg. Sorry.” “Haha,” the Alpha King laughed, his eyes forming crescent moons, “ My baby girl can be impish sometimes but... she's a good girl.”
