Since Eine stared at her with so much interest, Delta flattened her lips and whispered, “I… I’m sorry. Your Daddy… is actually a bad guy. He’s the reason why we’re leaving places. He’s the reason why Wolfie gets hurt sometimes.” When she spoke, she couldn’t help but hold her daughter’s wrists. If Eine decided to run away and hate her, she could only wish they would still want to stay with Wolfie. That way, they would still be safe from harm… from death. As for her, she could float with the House of Ra. At the girl’s silence, Delta just had to look up at her daughter’s eyes. She stared straight at Eine’s almost crying face. Her mouth opened, but Eine spoke first.

I had expected to hear him beg me to stay for Milton, but he was suggesting quite the opposite of what I had in mind. “What if he doesn't?” I asked, genuinely scared that this might not work. Adam smiled, a warm reassurance beaming on his face. “Milton isn't stupid. He'll come to his senses. Right now, you need to focus on who you are, Daciana.” He stopped pacing around the pool for a moment and stared long and hard at me. “Frost Demon or not,” he began. “You're the Alpha's Daughter, Daciana. Don't ever forget who you are.”

My eyes opened to the sight of my eight-year-old daughter Aaliyah standing in front of me with her big bright brown eyes. As soon as I woke up I knew I didn’t avoid getting a killer hangover. Not only that but I was pretty sure I was still a bit drunk. No doubt I went… a little overboard at my friend’s party last night and I couldn’t remember much of how it ended. I got an idea as my eyes slowly shifted from my daughter to the other side of my bed. Strategically I pulled one of the blankets over the head of my one-night stand.

My jaw dropped. The girl… was the Alpha’s daughter.

"Watch your tongue, Delta. She's here as my guest." Delta Ryan—Aaron's father—looked me up and down with undisguised contempt. "Guest? After what she did to my son? She nearly killed him!" "After what he tried to do to me," I corrected coldly, taking a step forward. Rona surged inside me, her rage bleeding into my voice. "Or have you conveniently forgotten that part, Delta?" His face flushed an ugly red. "Lies! My son would never—" "Your son is a would-be rapist," I spat. "And I should have ripped his throat out when I had the chance."

"That's it. I've tried but they won't help me. Going to them has almost gotten me killed. I've been a part of the Delta group since I was a baby. My parents gave me away as part of some sick bet. For all my life they have abused me, and used me, taken advantage of me in so many ways. And I just... I just need to get out. But it's so hard. They have control over so many people. I went to find you because I know that the Fraisers are the only people who can defeat Delta. Please, you have to help me." It seems that recently Aurora had been hearing people's sob stories. Why had Delta become such a big deal these days? They have such an inferiority complex that they want to overtake the Fraisers

Hours have passed, and the late afternoon was spent with the young ones are having the time of their life with their ice cream and sweets while the adults like me are having a nice glass of beer and wine and some charred meat to pair with. I panicked at first, but when I spotted a little girl with neck-length blonde hair by the river playing with the water, I exhaled. she replied while staring at him with resolute eyes. “I see,” the Delta turned to face Alpha Austin with eyebrows cocked, “This is the daughter you raised?” The Alpha King sheepishly laughed, “Hahaha!
