Boss Of My Heart
The bass vibrated through the floor, laughter and chatter filling the air.
That’s when I felt it, the weight of a gaze.
I turned.
And my heart skipped.
Ethan Fisher.
My boss. Sitting just a few feet away, his eyes locked on me.
I whipped my head back around, pulse racing. What was he doing here?
Before I could process it, he was moving. Straight toward me.
“Can I sit?”
His voice was low, rough enough to cut through the noise.
I looked up at him, words catching in my throat. He wasn’t in his usual sharp suits tonight. Just a fitted black shirt and dark jeans, casual yet undeniably commanding. His shoulders looked broader, his presence heavier somehow.
